Namrata Rao is (born 1981) an Indian film editor, who works in Hindi cinema, where starting with Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! (2008), she edited films like Ishqiya (2010), Band Baaja Baaraat (2010) and Kahaani (2012). She is most famous for editing and acting in the film Love Sex aur Dhokha (2010) for which she received the Filmfare Award for Best Editing in 2011. She received National Film Award for Best Editing and Filmfare Award for Best Editing for her wonderful editing work in 2012 Blockbuster Kahaani.

A young policeman Indra Sen comes to the home of a famous ageing artist Goutam Sadhu investigating a case of a missing man Arjun. There he is greeted by his young and beautiful wife Ahalya. The missing man's doll-version is placed on the mantelpiece, along with four other dolls, who Sadhu tells him had been modelling for himself. A stone is also placed there in a glass case. Sadhu tells the policeman that the stone has magical qualities and that anybody who touches it turns into whosoever he or she wishes to. He tells the policeman that Arjun knew about it and suggests that he might have used it. The policeman does not believe him initially but agrees to try it when the old man dares him to. He goes up to hand his mobile over to Ahalya, who addresses him seductively as her husband. She asks him to shoo away the policeman and come back to her. He plays along with her only to find himself cast in stone like other dolls placed on the same mantelpiece.

Krish Malhotra, a student from Delhi, is pursuing his MBA at IIM Ahmedabad. Krish comes from a family very proud of their Punjabi heritage. The movie opens with a pregnant Mary Kom (Priyanka Chopra), heading towards the hospital with her husband Onler Kom (Darshan Kumaar). Onler is mistaken for an insurgent and beaten when he tries to find a vehicle despite a curfew. The film then shifts to a flashback with Mangte Chungeijang Kom, finding boxing gloves in the remains of an air crash in 1991, which prompted her interest in boxing despite her father's disapproval. During an early fight, she chases a boy and ends up in a boxing gym. The coach of the gym, Narjit Singh (Sunil Thapa) is the coach of the Asian Champion Dingko Singh, and Kom tells him about her boxing aspirations. He asks her to visit the gym for next thirty days and says that he will only teach her if she is deserving enough. She starts visiting the gym, telling her mother but not her father. Days pass but her father does not enquire about her. Due to Kom's dedication and stubbornness, Coach Singh starts training her, suggesting she change her name to Mary Kom.

Katiyabaaz is a story of Kanpur's electricity crisis, resulting in loadshedding. Power cuts of up to 15 hours a day, cause great trouble to residents and factories alike. This gap in supply and demand becomes the bedrock of local electricity thieves like Loha Singh, who provide illegal power connection to people, by plugging into official supply through live wires. A poison-gas attack on a Kolkata Metro Rail compartment kills the passengers on board. Two years later Vidya Bagchi (Vidya Balan), a pregnant software engineer, arrives in Kolkata from London during the Durga Puja festivities in search of her missing husband, Arnab Bagchi. A police officer, Satyoki "Rana" Sinha (Parambrata Chatterjee), offers to help.
