Nicola Pecorini (born 10 August 1957) is an Italian-born cinematographer.
Pecorini was born in Milan, Lombardy, Italy. He founded, with Garrett Brown, inventor of the steadicam, the Steadicam Operators Association, Inc. (SOA), in 1988. Pecorini moved to the States in 1993. Since 1997 he has frequently collaborated with critically acclaimed director Terry Gilliam (together they have made Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, The Brothers Grimm, Tideland and The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus). In 2000 he won Best Cinematography at the San Sebastian International Film Festival for Harrison's Flowers. He is married to British actress Caroline Goodall and has two children, Gemma and Leone. He is blind in one eye.

Biography
Il fait ses études à la Scuola di Cinema Televisione e Nuovi Media de Milan. Il commence à travailler comme assistant du photographe Oliviero Toscani en 1976 puis part pour la Suisse où il est caméraman pour la télévision. Il commence à travailler pour le cinéma comme opérateur caméra en 1983 et est le cofondateur, avec Garrett Brown, de la Steadicam Operators Association, Inc. (SOA) en 1988. Il s'installe aux États-Unis en 1993 et, en tant que directeur de la photographie, a fréquemment collaboré avec Terry Gilliam.Il a remporté en 2000 le prix de la meilleure photographie au Festival international du film de Saint-Sébastien pour Harrison's Flowers et a été nommé en 2010 au prix David di Donatello de la meilleure photographie pour La prima cosa bella.

Pendant l'été 2000 en Espagne, Fulton et Pepe suivent, pour en réaliser le making of, le tournage de ce qui aurait dû être The Man Who Killed Don Quixote, un film que projette de réaliser Terry Gilliam depuis plusieurs années. Jean Rochefort doit tenir le rôle de Don Quichotte. Johnny Depp et Vanessa Paradis font également partie de la distribution. Cependant, le tournage tourne vite à la catastrophe : problèmes d'organisation, conflits personnels, vols intempestifs de F16 de l'armée de l'air américaine basée en Espagne sur le site de tournage, pluie diluvienne dans un lieu désertique qui dégrade le matériel et altère le décor – le désert servant de lieu de tournage devenant verdoyant le lendemain du déluge –, maladie de Jean Rochefort qui empêchera celui-ci de jamais remonter à cheval et l'écarte des plateaux.

Toby Grisoni, un réalisateur de pubs désabusé, se rend en Espagne pour le tournage d'une publicité. Qohen Leth, an eccentric programmer who refers to himself in the plural, is assigned to "crunch entities" for a company named Mancom. Shekhar Subramanium (Khan), a game designer who works for the London-based Barron Industries, has delivered a number of commercial failures; an irate Barron (Tahil) gives him his last chance to develop a successful game. To impress his sceptical son Prateek (Verma), and upon the request of his wife Sonia (Kapoor), Shekhar uses his son's idea that the antagonist should be more powerful than the protagonist. His colleague, computer programmer Jenny (Goswami), uses Shekhar's face as a model for that of the game's protagonist G.One (Technically Good One and in Hindi Jeevan, which means life), while the shape-shifting antagonist Ra.One (Technically Random Access Version One and in Hindi Ravan, a mythical demon) is made faceless. Another colleague, Akashi (Wu), implements the characters' movements. The game, named Ra.One, contains three levels, the final level being the only one in which either character can be killed. Each character possesses a special device – the H.A.R.T (Hertz Amplifying Resonance Transmitter) which gives them their powers. Upon reaching the last level, the characters gain a gun with one bullet; the other character can be killed by this bullet but only if his H.A.R.T is attached.

The film tells the story of the Michelucci family, from the 1970s to the present day: the central character is the stunningly beautiful Anna, the lively, frivolous and sometimes embarrassing mother of Bruno and Valeria. Wilhelm Grimm (Matt Damon) and Jakob Grimm (Heath Ledger) arrive in French-occupied Germany during the early 1800s. They go to Karlstadt to rid the town of a witch's ghost. After killing the "ghost", it is revealed that the Brothers Grimm have actually set up a fake witch to trick the town. Afterwards, as they are celebrating, Italian torturer Mercurio Cavaldi (Peter Stormare) takes them to the French General Delatombe (Jonathan Pryce). Delatombe forces them to solve a mystery: The girls of the small village of Marbaden are disappearing, and the villagers are convinced that supernatural beings are responsible. The Grimms are charged with finding who is responsible, and they soon discover that it is the work of a real supernatural force: a beautiful, yet evil, 500-year-old Thuringian Queen (Monica Bellucci) stealing young girls to restore her own beauty. Will and Jake have a complicated relationship; Jake is the smaller, younger, more sensitive one that Will feels he needs to protect. Will is often very hard on Jake (dating all the way back to their childhood, when Jake spent their money that was to be used for medicine for their dying sister on "magic beans") and orders him around. Will is somewhat of a womanizer and wants to make money, whereas Jake is more interested in fairy tales and adventures. Jake feels that Will doesn't care about or believe in him; but Will is just frustrated about the way Jake acts so spontaneously, making it hard for Will to protect him.

The film is concerned with Harrison Lloyd, a Pulitzer Prize-winning Newsweek photojournalist who travels on his last assignment to the former Yugoslavia in 1991, during the Croatian War of Independence. A clan of ninjas finds an abandoned chest that has been washed onto shore, and find a white baby inside. One of their ancient legends spoke of a white foreigner male who would come among the ninja and become a master like no other would. The boy, Haru (Chris Farley), is raised amongst the ninja, with the expectation that he may be the one of whom the legend speaks. As Haru grows into adulthood, doubts are quickly cast over him for being the great white ninja. Despite not possessing any ninja traits, Haru is clumsy and fails to graduate a ninja with the rest of his class. Left alone to protect the temple while the clan are on a mission, Haru disguises himself as a ninja when an American woman whose real name is Alison Page but calls herself "Sally Jones" (Nicollette Sheridan), comes to the temple to seek assistance. Sally says she is suspicious of her boyfriend, Martin Tanley (Nathaniel Parker), and asks Haru to investigate. Haru finds out that Tanley and his bodyguard, Nobu (Keith Cooke Hirabayashi) are involved in a money counterfeiting business, but cannot find Sally to tell her. Haru leaves Tokyo and goes to Beverly Hills to search for Sally. Gobei (Robin Shou), Haru's adoptive brother, is sent by the clan's sensei (Soon-Tek Oh) to watch over and protect Haru, with Haru unaware of his presence.
