Angaraag Mahanta (Assamese: অংগৰাগ মহন্ত) also known by his nickname Papon is an Indian singer, composer and record producer from Assam.
Angaraag once stated in his interview with NDTV Good Times that he wishes to travel worldwide and perform in various music festivals. At the same time, he also wants to meet different musicians, be exposed to different forms of music and collaborate with various talented musicians to create amazing and beautiful music. A lot of the initial stuff that he did was totally different from anything that was ever heard. It was Eastern folk, mostly Assamese. Thus he started the East India Company.

During the era of British India, lives a happy go lucky, school drop-out Shivkar Bapuji Talpade aka Shivi (Ayushmann Khurrana), who falls in love with a local stage dancer Sitara (Pallavi Sharda). In Sultanpur, a picturesque village in Pakistan, villagers have gathered to watch a game of cricket between India and Pakistan on television. Among them is a pregnant woman (Meher Vij) who, after giving birth, names her daughter Shahida after Shahid Afridi, the player who had won the game for Pakistan. Murphy "Barfi" Johnson (Ranbir Kapoor) is an optimistic, street-wise, charming young man who was born deaf-mute to a Nepali couple in Darjeeling.
