Rana Daggubati(born Rama Naidu Daggubati), is an Indian film actor, producer, Visual Effects co-ordinator, and photographer known for his works in Telugu cinema and Bollywood. As a Visual Effects producer, Rana won the State Nandi Award for Best Special Effects in 2006 for the Telugu film Sainikudu starring Mahesh Babu. In 2006, he received the National Film Award for co-producing Bommalata – A Bellyful of Dreams.
In 2010, he made his acting debut with the Telugu blockbuster Leader, for which he won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut – South. He received critical acclaim for his performance in the 2012 crime thriller film Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum. In 2015, he starred as the main antagonist in Baahubali: The Beginning, which recorded the highest gross opening for an Indian film.

En 2003, Rana décide de s’installer à Hyderabad pour rejoindre l’entreprise familiale une maison de production qui se désigne Ramanaidu Suresh. Au sein de la maison de production, Rana apprend l’art, l’artisanat, sous les directifs de son grand-père Ramanaidu, son père Suresh Babu et son oncle Venkatesh. La même année, il réalise un documentaire en hindi qui s’intitule Barah.
L'année suivante, Rana travaille sur un ensemble de film produit par la maison de production Suresh.
Puis en 2005, Rana travaille sur la post production d’un ensemble de film de l’industrie du sud de l’Inde via sa société Spirit.
En 2006, Rana obtient sa première récompense, le prix national du meilleur producteur de long métrage, Rana étend ses activités en travaillant sur la post production des jeux vidéo.

In the ancient Kingdom of Mahishmati in India, Sivagami, the queen mother (Ramya Krishnan), carrying a baby in her arms, emerges from a cave adjoining a big waterfall. She kills the soldiers pursuing her and sacrifices herself to save the baby. Local villagers spot the queen's hand carrying baby in the river and rescues the infant. Venkat (Adivi Sesh), Vijju (Madhu Nandan) are protégés of Kattam Raju (Prabhakar). The three goons manage to kidnap actress Shruthi (Manchu Lakshmi) and decide to hide her in an apartment owned by vijju’s boss, Brahmi (Brahmanandam). Brahmi lives in the U.S.A, but much to the kidnappers' surprise, arrives as a private detective to solve the kidnapping case. The film starts with Ashok setting bombs in three places and informing the police about them. Before the police arrive, the bombs are set off. He along with his lady love Maya (Nayanthara), both threaten her old collegemate hacker Arjun (Arya) who starts hacking one system after the other. Ashok then threatens Sridhar Raghavan (Aadukalam Naren) by trying to kill his baby so that he can extract the truth about black money, Ashok murders him in a fit of rage. Arjun, who is particularly irritated by the things happening around him, complains about the misdeeds of Ashok to inspector Prakash (Kishore).
