Paul Dunlap is a Original Music Composer American born on 19 july 1919
(William) Paul Dunlap, né le 19 juillet 1919 à Springfield (Ohio) et mort le 11 mars 2010 à Palm Springs (Californie), est un compositeur, chef d'orchestre et arrangeur américain.
Son premier film est Le Baron de l’Arizona de Samuel Fuller (1950). Suivent entre autres Le Pacte des tueurs d'Howard W. Koch (1955), Meurtrière ambition de Gerd Oswald (1957), Shock Corridor de Samuel Fuller (1963), ou encore Cyborg 2087 de Franklin Adreon (1966).
Quasiment retiré de l'industrie cinématographique après deux films sortis en 1968, il compose toutefois une ultime musique de film pour Gorp de Joseph Ruben (1980).
À la télévision américaine, outre un téléfilm de 1963, il collabore comme compositeur à quinze séries entre 1952 et 1959, dont Schlitz Playhouse of Stars (trois épisodes, 1955-1956) et Gunsmoke (un épisode, 1959).
En dehors de l'écran, on doit à Paul Dunlap quelques autres œuvres, dont une Ballet-Sonata pour piano (1977), un concerto pour piano et jazz band (1978) et l'opéra Elektra XI (1983).

Biography
Paul Dunlap étudie la musique notamment avec Nadia Boulanger, Arnold Schönberg et Ernst Toch, puis devient à Hollywood un compositeur de musiques de films, contribuant à ce titre (il est également chef d'orchestre et arrangeur) à cent-treize films américains (en particulier dans les genres du western et du film d'horreur).Son premier film est Le Baron de l’Arizona de Samuel Fuller (1950). Suivent entre autres Le Pacte des tueurs d'Howard W. Koch (1955), Meurtrière ambition de Gerd Oswald (1957), Shock Corridor de Samuel Fuller (1963), ou encore Cyborg 2087 de Franklin Adreon (1966).

Chaos reigns in the Catskills when Kavell and Bergman, two college students who spend their summers working in the dining hall at Camp Oskemo, an upstate New York summer camp where they're the senior waiters, return. Serving food to bratty children doesn't interest them nearly as much as trying to make it with the female counselors at the camp, among them the pretty but chaste Vicki and the beautiful and sexually liberated Evie. Kavell and Bergman also wage an annual war against the junior waiters with the help of deranged server Mad Grossman, but their real nemesis is Walrus Wallman, the camp owner who makes no secret of his dislike for the waiters. Over the course of one eventful summer, Kavell, Bergman, and their fellow food slingers dose the entire camp with amphetamines, taint the Kosher meals with pork, screen pornographic films during Parent's Weekend, run a tank through the campgrounds, and destroy the waiter's housing and most of what surrounds it.

In 1871, Rance Roden (Don Lamond) plans to kill off all the buffalo and thus cause the Indians to riot. After they destroy the U.S. Cavalry (his real enemy), Rance and his gang will take over the West. Meanwhile, a Boston magazine gets wind of the buffalo slaughter and sends editor Kenneth Cabot (Adam West) and his associates (Moe, Larry and Curly Joe) to Casper, Wyoming to investigate. Once there, Ken's shooting skills (secretly aided by sharp shooter Annie Oakley (Nancy Kovack)) earn him the job of town sheriff. Rance has his band of bad guys called in to have the lawmen wiped out, but the Stooges sneak into the gang's hideout while the gang is asleep and glue their firearms to their holsters. When Ken confronts the bad guys, the bad guys decide that a life of justice is better than crime. Meanwhile, Rance and Trigger attempt to sell firearms to the Indians, including an armoured wagon containing a Gatling Gun and cannon in a turret, but the Stooges foil this plan by snapping a picture of them making the sale.

Journalist Johnny Barrett (Peter Breck) thinks that the quickest way to a Pulitzer Prize is to uncover the facts behind a murder at a mental hospital. He convinces an expert psychiatrist to coach him to appear insane; this involves relating imaginary accounts of incest with his "sister", who is impersonated by his exotic-dancer girlfriend (Constance Towers). The Stooges are TV actors who are trying to sell ideas for their animated television show The Three Stooges Scrapbook. Unfortunately, their producer does not like anything. He gives the boys ten days to come up with a gimmick or their show will be canceled. In the meantime the Stooges lose their accommodation when they are caught cooking in their room because Curly-Joe turned up the TV-disguised refrigerator way too loud. The only affordable accommodation that will allow cooking is found in an advertisement in a newspaper. The home belongs to Professor Danforth (Emil Sitka) and it resembles a castle.

The Stooges work at Dimsal's Drug Store in Ithaca, New York, where they befriend Schuyler Davis (Quinn Redeker), the owner of the shop next door, who is attempting to build a time machine. With the boys' "help", the machine transports the boys, Schuyler and disaffected girlfriend Diane Quigley (Vicki Trickett) back in time to Ithaca in ancient Greece during the reign of the lecherous King Odius (George N. Neise). The King, after defeating and imprisoning Ulysses because the Stooges are believed to be gods, has a yearning for Diane. Realizing they have disrupted the proper course of history, Schuyler and the boys free Ulysses, after which Odius banishes them to the galleys, where Schuyler builds impressive muscles while constantly rowing.
