in S4C's long-running Welsh-language soap Pobol y Cwm.
Lynch is an alumnus of Ysgol Gyfun Rhydfelen, a Welsh Medium comprehensive school near Pontypridd.
Lynch first came to prominence in the 1986 Karl Francis film Milwr Bychan playing young soldier Will Thomas. Further film appearances include Branwen (1994), Darklands (1996), The Proposition (1997), and Y Mabinogi (2003). Lynch starred n numerous television productions and series, including The Christmas Stallion (1992), The Lifeboat (1994), and Tales from Pleasure Beach (2001).

Debbie and Jo (both portrayed by Theresa Russell) are identical twins. Jo is killed in a car accident, and her husband, Cardiff physician Sam Crawford (Jonathan Pryce) is grieving for her. Despite this, Debbie starts to act increasingly like Jo for Sam to overcome his grief. Sam meets with, and is drawn to, Chloe (Catherine Neilson), his wife's former colleague. Meanwhile, Debbie's fertility problems seems exacerbated by a post-viral weakness, insists that she still feels Jo's presence. Dai Davies is a Welshman running a cash-strapped farm in modern Wales and raising his orphaned granddaughter Gwen with the help of her godmother Nerys. When he dies unexpectedly, he leaves Gwen's guardianship to his estranged son Alan who returned to Wales accompanied by his stepson Cliff Dean. His return pits him against land developer Howard, and Cliff against Gwen's would-be suitor Gwilyn.
