Rinke Khanna (born Rinkle Khanna on 27 July 1977) is an Indian actress. She is the youngest daughter of actress Dimple Kapadia and actor Rajesh Khanna, sister of Twinkle Khanna and sister-in-law of actor Akshay Kumar. She made her film debut with Pyaar Mein Kabhie Kabhie (1999), changing her screen name from Rinkle to Rinke. In Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai, she played a supporting role. She starred in the 2003 film Chameli. She married businessman Sameer Saran on 8 February 2003.

Aman Joshi (Aman Verma) is on a research assignment. His subject is the chawl dwellers in Bombay City. He rents a small tenement there and talks to the people living there. The story is about an orphan named Raju (Salman Khan) a business man in India. His mother died when he was very young, his father had already left him. At work, Raju witnesses Rajesh Mittal (Rishi Kapoor) winning an award on TV. Raju realises that Rajesh is none other than his dad, and leaves immediately for London. At the airport, he meets Sonia Singh (Amisha Patel) who has too much luggage and tries to get Raju to hold it. Raju understands her plan, and it backfires on Sonia. The two then begin to believe they love each other. After this, Raju finds Rajesh and tells him the truth. He then finds out that Rajesh is already married to Smitha (Rati Agnihotri) and has two kids, Rinkie (Rinke Khanna) and Bunty. Rinkie is about to get married to Vicky (Sharad Kapoor) but she is unaware of his drug dealings. Raju gives Rajesh eight days to break the news to his family and call Raju his son or he’ll tell the family himself. After he leaves, Rajesh gets afraid, and hires gangsters to attack him. On his way out, Raju gets beat up by the hired gangsters, though later rescued by Shera (Sanjay Dutt), also an Indian living in London. He saves Raju from getting beat up, and helps him as well.

Vasanth (Prashanth) is a son of a wealthy MP Gajapathy (Raghuvaran) who hates love and against love marriage. Vasanth lives a fun-filled enjoyable life until he meets a girl (Rinke Khanna) while rushing to save a baby who is about to fall in a railway track while the girl also rushed for the same reason. He develops an attraction for that girl and again meets her in his college and knows her name to be Heena a Tamil speaking Bengali girl. Meanwhile, a trap is set for MP Gajapathy to kill him by explosion in a public gathering. Heena who is on an education trip to Chennai searches for some books in a book shop. Since the book is not available that day she has to come again to the shop and while leaving the shop some sound comes from her bag which she funnily mentions it to be a bomb which on explosion will destroy 20 km. The shop-keeper laughs on her fun. But the sound is actually the sound of watch alarm which she kept it inside.

The story revolves around a sensitive young adult named Karan (Tusshar), who frequently skips college. Despite his poor academic performance, he displays other talents. He is clever, an excellent musician, and plays in a band. His father constantly expresses his disappointment in him which often leads to Karan having outbursts of frustration and anger. One day in a deserted street, he lays eyes on Pooja (Kareena Kapoor) for the first time and falls in love with her. Following this brief acquaintance, he looks all over for her, but fails to find her. He slowly begins to lose hope in his quest, stops playing music and decides to move to another city with his uncle. While on his way there, his car breaks down, and he is forced to hitch a ride. To his amazement, he finds Pooja in the driver's seat. As they introduce themselves, an accident occurs when a truck collides with their car, which subsequently falls into a valley. Karan and Pooja find themselves hanging from a cliff, and even though Karan manages to haul Pooja back up the steep cliff, he loses his grip and falls into the ravine.

Gangaram alias Ganga (Govinda) lives a simple, straightforward life in a small village with his mom and dad (Shivaji Satham and Reema Lagoo), and his sweetheart, Saawni (Sonali Bendre).
