Roberta Paladini est la fille du speaker et journaliste RAI Riccardo Paladini. Elle débute à seize ans sous la direction de Lauro Gazzolo en tant que doublure de voix de Pinocchio dans le long-métrage animé Un burattino di nome Pinocchio de Giuliano Cenci. The story is set in the late nineteenth century. Tullio Hermil (Giancarlo Giannini), a wealthy Roman aristocrat married to Giuliana (Laura Antonelli) lives his sexual life with a possessive aristocratic mistress (Jennifer O'Neill), Teresa. However, his interest in his wife Guliana is rekindled when he sees Guliana's happiness after she has begun a love affair with a novelist, Filippo d'Aborio. She becomes pregnant by him. Tullio urges an abortion. She refuses. d'Arborio dies of a tropical infection. Tullio cannot tolerate the healthy male child delivered to Giuliana, although he tries. While the family are at Christmas mass he exposes the baby and it dies, apparently of natural causes. Giuliana, who knows Tullio has murdered the baby, leaves him. Tullio attempts to rekindle his affair with Teresa and takes her to his town house. There they attempt to make love. When she tells him she no longer loves him he shoots himself in the heart and dies. Teresa picks up her belongings and leaves.

The police prepares to trap the Drug Lord of Naples. The plan fails and Rizzo (Bud Spencer) decides to interrogate him for the last time, but when he arrives the Drug Lord has been murdered. Rizzo is accused of the murder and decides to investigate the arrival of an Italo-American mafia man, Frank Barella (Al Lettieri). The information given by Barella and Ferramenti (Dominic Barto) makes Rizzo believe that there is a rat in the police department, and, therefore, he must go to the Far East to find out who he is. Le corps d'une jeune fille, Silvia Polvesi, est retrouvé pendu dans le grenier d'une maison d'un petit village de la province de Brescia. Les faits suggèrent d'abord un suicide.
