Rodney G. Rowland (born February 20, 1964) is an American actor. He is credited as Rod Rowland in more recent productions, given his predilection to being called Rod. Rowland's most noted appearances to date were as 1st Lieutenant Cooper Hawkes in 1995's Space: Above and Beyond and P. Wiley in The 6th Day, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Il décroche son premier grand rôle en 1995 dans Space 2063, grâce à James Wong et Glen Morgan. Malgré des auditions désastreuses, les deux producteurs ont quand même décidé de faire jouer Rodney Rowland dans le rôle de Cooper Hawkes. Il retravaillera avec Wong et Morgan par la suite dans X-Files : Aux frontières du réel, série dans laquelle il joue le rôle d'Edward Jerse au côté de Gillian Anderson.

Biography
Né à Newport Beach, Californie, Rodney Rowland est le plus jeune de quatre enfants et le fils d'un ministre. Après de bref études de sports nautiques à l'Université de Pepperdine, à Malibu, Rodney part en Europe et démarre un carrière de mannequin pour la haute couture, chez des labels comme Gucci, Versace ou encore J. Crew. Sur les conseils de Bruce Weber, il commence à prendre des cours de théâtre puis joue des rôles sur scène ainsi qu'au cinéma.Il décroche son premier grand rôle en 1995 dans Space 2063, grâce à James Wong et Glen Morgan. Lorsque des avions commerciaux s'écrasent dans des circonstances mystérieuses, la FAA a pour mission de trouver s'il y a un lien ou si cela est juste une grosse coïncidence. In the near future, the cloning of animals and human organs has become routine. Cloning entire humans, however, is prohibited by what are known as "Sixth Day" laws.
