Biography
Rose Coghlan part aux États-Unis en 1871 dans le cadre de la troupe de Lydia Thompson en tournée dans le pays. Elle fait ses débuts à Broadway en 1872 dans une comédie musicale. Elle est à nouveau en Angleterre de 1873 à 1877, jouant avec Barry Sullivan, puis retourne en Amérique. Elle est devenue la comtesse Zicka dans la diplomaty et Stéphanie dans'Forget-me-not. Elle se rend presque continuellement chez Wallack jusqu'en 1888 et apparait ensuite comme rôle principal de The Duessing sportif.Elle a été mariée deux fois avec Clinton J. Virginia Radcliff (Frances Dee) is enrolled at the exclusive Crockett Hall finishing school by her mother (Billie Burke), with the acquiescence of her wealthy businessman father (John Halliday). Miss Van Alstyne (Beulah Bondi), the head of the school, informs her new student of Crockett Hall's strict rules of ladylike conduct, but Virginia's new roommate, Cecilia Ferris (Ginger Rogers), soon sets her straight. Van Alstyne and the rest of her staff do not really care what they do as long as it does not become public and stain the reputation of the school.

Virginia Gardner, a flapper girl, is left out of a fashionable party thrown by her mother (Helen Ware). To get revenge, she plays a joke by passing out notes to some of the guests reading, "Consult your conscience. Your secret is common gossip." This message sends a number of people into a panic during the party, and a shot rings out, wounding one of the men. When the mystery is cleared up, Marion Taylor (Billie Dove) and Edward Mallory (Harry Morey) have fallen in love.
