Steve Marmel is an American television writer and producer who has worked on many animated TV series, among which are The Fairly OddParents, I Am Weasel, Danny Phantom, Family Guy and Yin Yang Yo!. During his work on The Fairly OddParents he frequently co-wrote episodes with Butch Hartman. He also created the series Sonny with a Chance, starring Demi Lovato, Tiffany Thornton and Sterling Knight.
A stand-up comedian since the age of 18, a Hanna Barbera executive saw Marmel performing in 1996 and thought he'd be ideal as a writer for Johnny Bravo. He has since worked on numerous other shows for Hanna Barbera, Nickelodeon and Disney Channel, having been nominated for multiple Emmy and Annie Awards for his work as a writer, producer and songwriter.
Marmel grew up in Lincolnwood, Illinois and is an alumnus of the University of Wisconsin, where he majored in journalism. Marmel and his wife currently reside in Los Angeles.

Anthony (Padilla) and Ian (Hecox) are best friends and live in a small house, with Ian's parents. One day, Ian finds a video of Anthony reciting the Magic Pocket Slave Monsters theme (an obvious parody of the Pokémon theme song and reference to Smosh's deleted video) at their high school graduation. In the video, Anthony attempts to impress his crush, Anna Reed (Nelson), by trying to do a backflip, but he fails, landing on his face, and the microphone lands in his anus. They both decide to pull down the video before it blows Anthony's chances of reconnecting with his crush.
