Silver Pictures is an American film production company founded by Hollywood producer Joel Silver during 1985. All movies after Ricochet have been distributed by Warner Bros. and its subsidiary New Line Cinema.
In 2012, Joel Silver and Warner Bros. ended their 25-year production, marketing, and distribution relationship. This is due to Joel Silver growing increasingly upset with how Warner Bros. had been handling the marketing and releasing of the films his company produced.

An alcoholic air marshal named Bill Marks boards a Boeing 767 non-stop flight from New York City to London. He sits next to passenger Jen Summers with whom he engages in friendly conversations. After take-off, he receives a text message on his secure phone stating that someone will die every 20 minutes unless $150 million is transferred to a specific bank account. Marks breaks protocol and consults with Jack Hammond, the other air marshal, who concludes that the threat is not valid. Marks however consults the help of Summers and flight attendant Nancy to monitor the security cameras while texting the mysterious person in order to locate him. However, Hammond is texted by the unknown person who says that he knows what is in Hammond's briefcase. As Marks confronts Hammond in the rear lavatory, the latter is revealed to be smuggling cocaine in a brief-case. Hammond attacks Marks, who responds in self-defense and breaks Hammond's neck. In 1891, Irene Adler delivers a package to Herr Dr. Hoffmanstahl; payment for a letter he was to deliver. Hoffmanstahl opens the package, triggering a hidden bomb that is prevented from detonating by the intervention of Sherlock Holmes. Holmes takes the letter while Adler and Hoffmanstahl escape. Holmes finds Hoffmanstahl assassinated moments later. Adler meets with Professor Moriarty to explain the events, but Moriarty poisons and kills her — deeming her position compromised by her love for Holmes.
Thirty years after a nuclear apocalypse, Eli (Denzel Washington) travels on foot toward the west coast of the former United States. Along the way he demonstrates uncanny survival and fighting skills, hunting wildlife and swiftly defeating a group of desert bandits who try to ambush him. Branded as a traitor, Kiriko was caught and later executed in front of Raizo by their elder ninja brother Takeshi, impaling her through the heart.
