Win's Movie and Television Production (Hong Kong) Co Ltd (Chinese: 永盛影視製作 (香港) 有限公司) originally known as Win's Movie Production & I/E Co. Ltd. and Win's Entertainment (Hong Kong) Co. Ltd., was a Hong Kong film production company that was formed by producer Charles Heung and his brother Jimmy Heung. Following its establishment in 1990, Win's Entertainment went on to become one of the powerful film producers in Hong Kong. The company helped to establish the careers of actors Jet Li, Chow Yun-fat, Andy Lau, Stephen Chow and Lau Ching-Wan. The was company defunct in 2009.

Dragon Nine, an imperial detective, is on his way back after concluding the case of the Thief Ghost. Cheung (Andy Lau) is given four weeks to live. As he eats at a diner, Inspector Ho Sheung-sang (Lau Ching-wan), a police negotiator, has been called to the scene of a bank robbery standoff that's being bungled by his inept boss, Wong Kai-fat (Benz Hui). Listening to a negotiation between Wong and the robbers, Ho feels that the robbers are professionals and goes in the negotiate with the robbers. After goading the robbers, a man amongst the hostages stands up and shoots the robbers dead. Inspector Ho recognizes his sniffling as the robber talking to Wong before he went in. As the police rush in, Inspector Ho leaves the crime scene to grab some breakfast.

Wah Dee (Andy Lau) is low level punk living in Mongkok with his mother Fei (Deanie Ip) and works as a motorcycle messenger and sells pirated VCDs. Wah was recently dumped by his girlfriend. Later he meets Ice Pok (Michelle Reis), a rich heiress from Shanghai, who followed her father on a business trip to Hong Kong where she solely searches for her mother who have divorced with her father during her childhood. Ice's father Po Ting Kwok (Yu Rongguang) calls the police when his daughter goes missing and suspects Wah after sending people to investigate. Unexpectedly, Ice was abducted by kidnappers and Wah bravely rescues her by himself and donates half of his liver for Ice to heal. Ice returned to Shanghai after rehabilitation and finds herself in love with Wah. On the day of her birthday, her father organises a party for her and introduce a "Prince Charming" to her. The "Prince Charming" turns out to be Wah, who is dressed handsomely in a formal outfit, as opposed to his usual casual clothing and messy hairstyle.

Wah Dee (Andy Lau) est un punk vivant dans le quartier de Mong Kok avec sa mère Fei (Deannie Yip). Il travaille comme coursier à moto et vend des CD piratés. Il s'est récemment fait largué par sa petite amie. Il rencontre Ice Pok (Michelle Reis), une riche héritière originaire de Shanghai, qui a suivi son père lors d’un voyage d’affaires à Hong Kong, où elle recherche sa mère qui a divorcé de son père pendant son enfance. Le père de Ice, Po Ting-kwok (Yu Rongguang), appelle la police lorsque sa fille est portée disparue et soupçonne Wah d'avoir envoyé des personnes pour enquêter. Par la suite, Ice est enlevée par des ravisseurs et Wah la sauve tout seul avant de faire don de la moitié de son foie pour son opération. Ice retourne à Shanghai après sa rééducation malgré le fait qu'elle soit tombée amoureuse de Wah. Le jour de son anniversaire, son père organise une fête pour elle et lui présente un « prince charmant » qui se révèle être Wah, habillé élégamment pour une fois.

In 1993, Wai Kat-cheung (Andy Lau) is an underling of Prince (Mark Cheng). Since Cheung was young, his father was a triad member so Cheung also joined the triad. One time when Prince owed Crazy Ball (Ben Ng) HK$3 million debt, Crazy Ball abducted Prince and Cheung rescues him by slicing Crazy Ball's left eye. Although he later became highly regarded by Prince and his status rose, he also had to pay a heavy price. He not only forged a vendetta with Crazy Ball, that night, his wife Cindy (Angie Cheung) also saw him slaughtering and went to help him but was run over by a car.

When King stays overnight at his mistress' place, his pregnant wife Fanny discovers them and Fanny sadly leaves King. One time, King and his assistant, Chung, were gambling cards with Chimney, when Chimney finds out that they were secretly videotaping him and they start to fight. For self-defense reasons, King resorts to using a knife to kill Chimney, which not only leaves him colorblind, but results in a five-year imprisonment for manslaughter. The film consists of three stories. The first is about a girl who calling a radio station for advice and comfort after her boyfriend died in a tragic incident.
