Synopsis
A group of paranormal investigators enter the abandoned home of serial killer John Gacy, hoping to find evidence of paranormal activity. Upon entering the house they set up cameras throughout the abandoned house while going room to room with hand-held cameras, performing séances and asking for John Gacy to come forward. As the evening progresses it seems the investigators are not prepared for the horror still within the house. In the end all hell breaks loose, Gary finds Mike's dead body in the basement, Gary is dragged away, Franklin disappears and Robbie is chased through the house. After the rest of the cameras cut to static, an apparition of Gacy appears, Robbie is then taken and his camera cuts to static.Comments

During a lunchtime tryst in Phoenix, Arizona, a real estate secretary named Marion Crane discusses with her boyfriend, Sam Loomis, how they cannot afford to get married because of Sam's debts. After lunch, Marion returns to work, where a client drops off a $40,000 cash payment on a property. Her boss asks her to deposit the money in the bank, and she asks if she can take the rest of the afternoon off. Returning home, she begins to pack for an unplanned trip, deciding to steal the money and give it to Sam in Fairvale, California. She is seen by her boss on her way out of town, which makes her nervous. During the trip, she pulls over on the side of the road and falls asleep, only to be awakened by a state patrol officer. He is suspicious about her nervous behavior but allows her to drive on. Shaken by the encounter, Marion stops at an automobile dealership and trades in her Ford Mainline, with its Arizona license plates, for a Ford Custom 300 that has California tags. Her transaction is all for naught - the highway patrolman sees her at the car dealership and witnesses her purchase of the newer car.

Informant Michael Marks wakes up to find a spike-filled mask locked around his neck. A videotape informs him that he has sixty seconds to remove his eye with the scalpel and retrieve the key, but he cannot bring himself to do so and is killed when the mask closes. Detective Eric Matthews, is called to the scene by Detective Allison Kerry when a message for him is found. Although he is initially reluctant to join the case, Eric joins Kerry and Sergeant Daniel Rigg in leading a SWAT team to an old factory. There they find the John Kramer, The Jigsaw Killer, who he is weak from cancer, and several computer monitors showing eight people trapped in a house. Among them are Amanda Young, Jigsaw's only known survivor, and Eric's estranged son Daniel. A nerve agent filling the house will kill them within two hours, but John assures Eric he will get Daniel back if Eric talks with John until the game is complete. At Kerry's urging, Eric reluctantly agrees in order to buy time for the police tech team to arrive and trace the video signal.

Detective Anna Manni (Argento) travels to Florence on the trail of a serial killer Alfredo (Thomas Kretschmann). A man knocks on a teenage girl's door, claiming to be in need of directions. When the girl leaves to answer the phone, the man sneaks in, and grabs her when she returns. Physically and verbally assaulting the girl, the man drags her into a bedroom by the neck, and rapes her. The rapist ejaculates and urinates on the teen's face, and asphyxiates her with a bag while yelling that Richard Ramirez is his "God". Tracking the killer is obnoxious Channel 5 Action News reporter Roberto Negro, who has been receiving taunting letters from the murderer, most of them containing rants about how he worships Satan.
