Raj (Gemini Ganesan) meets Shanti (Vyjayanthimala) at a cricket match in Madras, and falls in love with her. Shanti does not reciprocate his love, and leaves to her home place Bangalore. Shanti’s father Sokkalingam (K. A. Thangavelu), a widower, marries Thangam (M. Saroja). They decide to go to Kashmir for their honeymoon, and Shanti also wants to come. Sivalingam, a friend of Sokkalingam suggests an alliance between Shanti and his nephew Raj (M. N. Nambiar) who is now in Madras. Raj has secretly married Lalitha. He ditches Lalitha, when he sees this new alliance and leaves for Bangalore, but misses the train. Just then Raj (Gemini Ganesan) arrives in Bangalore for a different reason, and Sokkalingam misinterprets him as his friend’s nephew. Sokkalingam and wife Thangam leave for Kashmir along with Raj Ganesan and Shanti, who still dislikes Raj Ganesan.

'Sabash Meena' is a laugh riot which shows how a simple poor girl manages to change a rich spoilt brat, making him a responsible person. Mohan (Sivaji Ganesan) is a rich spoilt brat. His erratic and irresponsible behavior forces his father Sadasivam Pillai to send him to his friend Appadorai's place in Madras to work and learn something in life. Mohan a street smart guy sends his friend Shekar (Chandrababu) in his place to Appadorai. Appadorai, who has not seen Mohan accepts Shekar as Mohan and gives him a job. Shekar falls in love with Appadorai's daughter and Mohan who meets Meena in a bus falls for her. What follow is a hilarious depiction of both their love stories and the confusions it creates.

Hereafter vasudevan send the poet into "Anjugam" magazine and published. Narayanan(Nagesh)is played stunning performance fits-afflicted guy. Narayanan was very mad about the poet. so he was stick the poet in his room walls. Narayanan is neighborhood of radha. narayanan was rented home for radha house.Narayanan helps to murali love. first the two family is rejected radha & mural wedding, then kamala was convenience to two family. Radha and Murali gets married and they life go claimly. but Kamala not able to forgotten Murali Memories. So, she was sacrifices her love write weekly stories in a "Anjugam" magazine about her own life. But she was changed the character name is "Pangajam". The story was goes to high pinch. Narayanan was fallen love with Kamala. Radha was find all matters , she is friend kamala also fallen love with her husband. So, she was decide to Murali was married to kamala. Radha slept at the "oonjak" and she is leg was fractured then her leg is cure but is continue her acting. But kamala was objection for radha's request. Then Radha and Murali couples was decided to Kamala was gets married for Narayanan and arranged for wedding hall. But Narayanan not known "Pangajam" character is real name as Kamala. Kamala was end the weekly story for pangajam getting married narayan told to kamala is not a god end. The story good ending is about only tragedy. Kamala consumes 12 sleeping dose and commit suicide.

Surendranath (ANR) is the son of Zamindar (Ramanna Pantulu) who wanted to go abroad for higher studies. His parents do not agree, hence he decides to leave the house. He reaches Madras in search of a job and gets a place in the house of a traditional family as a teacher. The daughter of that house is Madhavi (Bhanumathi). She takes care of every need of the family. Surendranath's behaviour surprises her and she starts to like him. Surendranath tried to talk to her personally. As a result of some misunderstanding, she openly expresses her dislike. Unable to bear the insult, he leaves the house and meets with an accident. Her elder brother (Ramana Murthy) gets married. Surendranath goes back to his Zamindari. His father dies making him the Zamindar. He marries Janaki. Diwan (Lingamurthy) mismanages the finances. As a result, Madhavi loses some property. She wanted to meet Surendranath, but Diwan refuses permission to meet him. She comes to know that he built a village Madhavipuram on her name and felt happy. While verifying the records, Surendranath finds out the mistake happened. He wanted to meet Madhavi to request her pardon, in spite of his illness and finally dies in her hands.
