Synopsis
Shiv Charan Sharma, a farmer, moves to the city to make a life with his son Rohan, daughter Radha Seth and his wife. He meets Munna, an orphan. Shiv and Munna work hard in the underbelly of the city outside the law and go on to lead a syndicate of gangsters. Years pass by and Shiv Charan Sharma is shown to have become an untouchable ganglord. Aslam Pathan and Billa Singh Thakur, rival crime bosses, try to kill Shiv in hopes of overtaking his territory and get rid of the opposition he was proving to be in their plans to increase drug traffic within the city.Actors

Dhanakpur village farmer, Thakur Jaswant Singh (Alok Nath) and Dhanraj Singh (Dalip Tahil) are brothers. They have a younger sister Madhumati, who was used, made pregnant and ditched by Ratan Singh (played by Arjun), the son of Thakur Raghuveer Singh from a big Rajput family. The family refuses Jaswant Singh's request to get his sister married to Ratan. Ratan's family refuses to accept that he is guilty, as they are interested in their status. Insulted, Jaswant decides to leave the village. Unable to tolerate the events, Madhumati commits suicide. Frustrated, Dhanraj kills Ratan at his wedding and gets imprisoned. The two families are now bitter enemies. Jaswant moves to Delhi, develops his business, and reaches good status; he also raises Dhanraj's kids. Years later, Dhanraj gets released from the prison. Upon release, Dhanraj receives a letter from his son, Raj (Aamir Khan), an ardent music-lover, who completes his education in Rajput College. An emotional Dhanraj sneaks into Raj's college farewell party and is glad to see his son fulfill his dreams.

Ranjit Rai (Sadashiv Amrapurkar) and Harbanslal (Dalip Tahil) are two wealthy business magnates who despise the poor. Thus, they decide their children, Ajay (Ajay Devgan) and Madhu (Juhi Chawla), will marry wealthy spouses. They try to break their children's friendship with Raja (Aamir Khan) and Kajal (Kajol), who are both poor. They fix up Ajay's marriage with Madhu and send Ajay to meet Madhu. As fate would have it, Ajay falls in love with Kajal instead and Raja and Madhu fall in love. This angers the two men, and they try to bribe Raja and Kajal into leaving Madhu and Ajay. When this doesn't work, they try to get Raja and Kajal killed. When the children realize what their fathers really did, they refuse to back down, their determination set in stone.

Le roi et sorcier Kans règne en tyran sur le royaume de Mathura et ambitionne de conquérir le monde. Pour mettre fin à son règne sanguinaire, les dieux décident d'incarner sur Terre Vishnu, qui naît sous la forme de Krishna, fils de Devaki, la sœur de Kans. Le bébé, neveu du tyran, vient au monde dans le village de Vrindavan, où il est adopté par le chef du village, Nanda, qui l'élève au même titre que son propre fils un peu plus âgé, Balram. Krishna grandit dans la bonne humeur et devient un petit garçon facétieux, qui en fait voir de toutes les couleurs à sa mère et est toujours prêt à jouer un tour aux gopis, les gardiennes de vaches qui le surveillent. Mais il se signale très tôt par ses exploits miraculeux, et la musique de sa flûte charme hommes et bêtes. Krishna se lie surtout avec une petite fille de son âge, Radha (sa future épouse dans la mythologie hindoue), mais se lie aussi d'amitié plusieurs garçons, dont Madhumangal. Il peut aussi compter sur l'aide du singe Dabiloba et de l'agnelle Hamsi. Krishna doit bientôt venir en aide aux gens du royaume et affronter les périls surnaturels que lui envoie Kans, principalement les démons Trinavarta, Bakasur et Putna. Mais, voyant Krishna vaincre sans peine chacun de ses envoyés, Kans finit par le défier en duel dans le colisée de sa capitale. Plusieurs chansons ponctuent le film.

The Kadam family ran a restaurant in Mumbai. The second-oldest son, Hassan (Manish Dayal), was being groomed to replace his mother (Juhi Chawla) as the restaurant's main cook. This is a story about an architect Raj Malhotra (Shahid Kapoor). While he was a top student in his school and college days, he is not having much luck in finding work, clients or projects. All he does, seems to go wrong. Raj goes to a gypsy named Haseena Bano Jaan (Juhi Chawla). She advises him that his luck is not good and he needs a lucky charm or a person who can change his life. Afterwards, Raj meets Priya (Vidya Balan), who is ready to help the citizens of a community by trying to save a community center. Although they do not get along at first, Raj eventually realizes that Priya is his lucky charm. Priya ends up helping Raj through sticky situations and Raj eventually figures out that she is, in fact, changing his life. Knowing this, Raj lies to Priya by telling her that he will help her save the community center, but instead, he is trying to build a shopping mall there so he can finally be recognized as an architect. He also falls in love with Priya and she too falls for him. However, when Priya finds out the truth about what Raj is trying to do, she becomes very upset and hurt. To make up for his lie, Raj sells everything he has, not caring about his job. He proposes a plan to save the community center and ends up winning Priya's love and admiration. After Priya and Raj finally get together, Raj's life changes and he becomes prosperous.
