The film stars Varun Dhawan, Shraddha Kapoor and Prabhu Deva in lead roles with Lauren Gottlieb, Raghav Juyal and Dharmesh Yelande in supporting roles. It is the sequel to the 2013 film ABCD: Any Body Can Dance. ABCD 2 released on 19 June 2015. The decommissioned warship INS Vikrant was featured as a backdrop behind the dance group's practice area during the first half of the film.
After time, Walt Disney Pictures sold the film's satellite rights to Sony Entertainment Television (India), thereby breaking its chain trend of selling the rights to Zee Entertainment Enterprises.
Synopsis
Suresh Mukund (Varun Dhawan) wants to be a big dancer to fulfill his mother's wish. Vinnie (Shraddha Kapoor) wants to be the best hip-hop dancer. Childhood friends from suburban Nalasopara, Mumbai, they form a team and participate in a national level competition "Hum Kisi Se Kum Nahin" where they are disqualified as their moves are copied and everyone calls them cheaters. Everyone departs to search for jobs. Suresh works in a bar as a waiter, Vinnie joins a beauty parlour and Vernon (Sushant Pujari) works as a delivery boy where, time and again, they are insulted as cheaters. The departure of angry teammates adds injury to insult, and nothing is set to be corrected.Actors

After having a bitter disagreement with his friend and manager Jehangir Khan (Kay Kay Menon) about the latter's blatant abuse of power and influence to win a dance competition called "Dance Dil Se" for his team JDC (Jehangir Dance Company), the choreographer of the dance company, Vishnu (Prabhu Deva), quits his job. At first he wants to return home to Chennai, but his friend Gopi (Ganesh Acharya) persuades him to stay in Mumbai with him. One day, he observes several young men using parkour to evade the police. They turn out to be proteges of Gopi, but despite their obvious raw talent, they lack the discipline required to become serious artists; they demonstrate this disastrously at a local event for a politician, wherein they set the stage on fire. After witnessing the same young men showing their dancing abilities at Ganpati Chaturthi to beat their rival neighborhood. Vishnu decides to start his own dance group with them; ultimately preparing them to compete in "Dance Dil Se". However, the lack of discipline among the dancers and rivalry between the two factions in the group led by D (Dharmesh Yelande) and Rocky (Salman Yusuff Khan) leads to multiple creative and emotional blocks. Initially, only Rocky and his gang are willing to attend the free classes, but soon D and his friends gravitate towards the studio.

For a vacation, Dave (Jason Lee) and the Chipmunks (Alvin, Simon and Theodore) (Justin Long, Matthew Gray Gubler and Jesse McCartney) and Chipettes (Brittany, Jeanette and Eleanor) (Christina Applegate, Anna Faris and Amy Poehler) go on a cruise ship. In the year 1900, a depressed British writer named Christian (Ewan McGregor) begins writing on his typewriter ("Nature Boy"). One year earlier, Christian moved to the Montmartre district of Paris to become a writer among members of the area's Bohemian movement. He soon encounters, living directly upstairs from him, a loose troupe of performers led by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec (John Leguizamo). Toulouse-Lautrec and the others ask for Christian's help, and his writing skills allow them to finish their proposed show, "Spectacular Spectacular", that they wish to sell to the owner of the Moulin Rouge, Harold Zidler (Jim Broadbent). The group arrives at the Moulin Rouge as Zidler and his "Diamond Dog Dancers" perform for the audience ("Lady Marmalade/Zidler's Rap (Can Can)/Smells Like Teen Spirit"). Toulouse arranges for Christian to see Satine (Nicole Kidman), the star courtesan, in her private quarters to present the work, unaware that Zidler is promising Satine to the wealthy and unscrupulous Duke of Monroth (Richard Roxburgh), a potential investor in the cabaret ("Sparkling Diamonds" medley).

Over-worked, bullied and terrified of being put in foster care, seventeen-year-old Katie Gibbs (Lucy Hale) is a singer who does her stepmother and stepsiblings' bidding with no complaints. Wealthy American Jervis Pendleton III (Fred Astaire) has a chance encounter at a French orphanage with a cheerful 18-year-old resident, Julie Andre (Leslie Caron). Ted Scott (Payne) is a band pianist whose publicity manager decides that, for good press, the band should adopt a foreign refugee. The band goes to Ellis Island to meet the girl and soon discovers that the refugee isn't a 10-year-old child, but a young woman, Karen Benson (Henie). The surprise comes right before the band is to travel to Sun Valley, Idaho for a Christmas gig.
