Synopsis
The film opens with a simpleton from a small village in Tamil Nadu wanting to become a musician in the Tamil film industry. The role played by debutant Prabhu (Prabhu) goes to Chennai in search of his dream career where he meets Pandya (Mayil Samy). Pandya helps Prabhu into the big city life and they become good friends. Prabhu meets Yazhini (Preethi Verma) who helps him meet a famous Director, who gives Prabhu a chance to prove his music skills.Actors

When a young boy Saravanan is killed by rowdy - and aspiring politician - Dhanasekaran(Sayaji Shinde), his distraught mother(Vinaya Prasad) is ready to kill herself. But she is stopped by a man Mani Shankar(Vijayakumar) who promises her that her son will be reincarnated and meet her 30 years hence. The only condition is that the mother must remain inside Vaitheeswaran temple, praying to be reunited with her son. 30 years later, her wait catches the attention of the public, who are curious to see if Saravanan shows up. Dr.Bala(Sarathkumar), who has no belief in reincarnation, wishes to treat her while Dhanasekharan, who is now a politician and eyeing the CM seat, knows that Saravanan's arrival could derail his plans. Armed with a computer-generated photo of how Saravanan would look like now, both Dhanasekharan and Bala go looking for him, when Bala realises that he is indeed the reincarnation of Saravanan and what happens next froms the climax of the story.

Vichu (Silambarasan) is a quiet youngster brought up by the village priest (Nedumudi Venu) and his maternal grandfather. Owing to specific reasons, the caring elder has purposefully toned down (Simbu uses his eyes to convey the inner quietude of Vichu) the young boy's emotional quotient and has taught him a peculiar art of living. As a result, Vichu is soft-spoken, passive and is groomed to tolerate all sorts of malicious misdemeanors aimed at him. Vichu assists his grandfather in carrying out the religious rituals as well as being the care-taker of the temple. Vichu's only consolation comes in the company of his sweetheart Janu (Sana Khan). Janu's kiddish jokes and teasing remarks make up for all the precious and youthful moments he has missed in his growing-up years. The film has anti-Brahmin themes and follows many films of its class in projecting the Brahmin girls and aunts in a raunchy yet funny way.

Balakrishnan (Pasupathy) is the owner of a barber shop in a remote village. His family consists of his wife Sridevi (Meena) and three children. This movie is similar to Romeo and Juliet, a tragic love story about two star-crossed lovers. The movie focuses on the love that blossoms between an Indian student (Vikranth) and a Pakistani girl. The movie is essentially about how they must both fight against forces which oppose them. The movie outlines some of the most complex themes and problems that occur between the two state. The story alternates between Vikranth's parents searching for him, while the flashback of the incidence are portrayed along the way. Eventually, near the end, the Pakistani girl suicides thinking her lover is going to die. However, Vikranth turns up to find her dead. This causes him to break down, eventually psychologically affecting him. As time goes on, Vikranth physical appearance changed to the point where no one recognizes him. The movie ends on a sad note, where his own mother fails to recognize her own son.
