Around the World in 80 Days is an Australian 48-minute direct-to-video animated film from Burbank Films Australia. It was originally released in 1988. The film is based on Jules Verne's classic French novel, Around the World in 80 Days, first published in 1873, and was adapted by Leonard Lee. It was produced by Roz Phillips and featured original music by Simon Walker. The film imitated BRB Internacional's Spanish 1981 series, La vuelta al mundo de Willy Fog, in its use of anthropomorphic animals in the human roles. The copyright in this film is now owned by Pulse Distribution and Entertainment and administered by digital rights management firm NuTech Digital.
Synopsis
The young French Passepartout arrives in London in 1872 to become Mr. Phileas Fogg's valet on the very same day his master makes a bet that changes both of their lives. Mr. Fogg assures the members at his club that it is now possible to travel the world in 80 days or less; they disagree and so he challenges himself to set off and prove them wrong. He bets a total of £200,000 that he will sail away, tour the world, and return to that very spot in eighty days or less. After accepting his wager, the club members bid him farewell and wish him luck on his long voyage across the world. Passepartout takes an immediate liking for his new determined master, but even so, the young valet isn't too enthusiastic about sailing away from London aboard a hot air balloon. One day before their departure, the Bank of England had been assaulted and robbed by a man who's physical appearance resembled that of Mr. Phileas Fogg. A detective named Fix investigates the crime and declares Phileas Fogg guilty of bank robbery, hiding behind the identity of a noble gentleman. Mr. Fogg and Passepartout fly on the balloon over France, Italy and the Swiss Alps. Sure that he will win his bet, Mr. Fogg has no second thoughts about spending whatever money he needs in order for his voyage to continue uninterrupted, even if it means the purchase of elephants. During a ride aboard an elephant from Bombay to Calcutta, Mr. Fogg and Passepartout come across a suttee procession, in which a young woman named Auoda is to be sacrificed by worshippers of Thuggee. They rescue the young girl and carry her away safely to live with a distant relative. More adventures and misadventures follow the two companions as they cross the Pacific Ocean and the United States of America, closely watched and followed by Fix (who later ran into a group of native Americans who were coyotes) . Upon returning to London on the 79th day of travel, Phileas Fogg is arrested by the detective and accused of robbery, then he is placed inside a cell. Fogg is stuck in the cell until it appears to be too late for him to present himself at the club in time to win the wager. Mr. Fix then appears at the cell where Fogg is being kept and tells him that he has made a terrible mistake, and that the man truly responsible for the robbery had just been captured. Mr. Fogg punches Mr. Fix on the nose and the detective falls to the ground unconscious. Fogg returns to his residence with Passepartout, resigned to the fact he has lost his fortune. When they believe all is lost, a local newspaper informs them that they were mistaken about the date, and it is in fact one day earlier than they had thought because they crossed the International Date Line while circumnavigating the globe in an eastward direction. Fogg and Passepartout rush to the club where they present themselves just in time to win the wager. The club members cheer for Fogg's success and all admit that he had been right and had proven so. Mr. Fogg then assures his friends that a trip around the world can really be made in no more than sixty-six days, to the dismay of Passepartout who fears another adventurous trip around the world.Actors

In October 1957, after the Russian satellite Sputnik is put into orbit, an enormous robot from outer space crashes into the ocean near Rockwell, Maine. The robot makes it inland and wanders into the forest. Nine-year-old Hogarth Hughes soon discovers the robot one night. The robot begins eating the powerlines of an electrical substation, then gets electrocuted. Hogarth shuts down the power, saving the robot, and returns home. Several days later, Hogarth makes it his mission to find the robot and take a picture. After hours of waiting, the robot surprises Hogarth, who soon befriends him. Suffering amnesia, the Iron Giant accompanies Hogarth wherever he goes. When they come across a railroad, the Giant starts eating the rails. Hearing an oncoming train, Hogarth tells the Giant to repair the tracks. As he does, the train collides, breaking him to pieces. The Giant's parts start to reassemble, and Hogarth hides the damaged robot in his house's barn, where the parts can repair themselves.

Velma gets a call from Cuthbert Crawley, a lawyer for Velma's family who tells her that she's inherited her great uncle's property and castle in Transylvania. Velma turns the offer down, replying she wants nothing to do with her uncle, puzzling the gang. Mr. Crawley understands, revealing the curse over the estate. He says that if anyone gets too close to the Baron legacy, then what they love the most will be destroyed. As they head outside, Fred hears a noise from the Mystery Machine, then it explodes and a mysterious character with a mask appears. Crawley reveals that it's the ghost of the Baron, Velma's old ancestor. The remains of the machine explode again, with words saying stay away from Transylvania, but Fred declares that is where they're going to find the person responsible for destroying the Mystery Machine, saying this time "it's personal".

Scooby-Doo, Shaggy, and Scrappy-Doo are on their way to a Miss Grimwood's Finishing School for Girls, where they have been hired as gym teachers. Once there, however, they find that it is actually a school for girl ghouls. In the year 1866, a mysterious sea-monster is hunting the depths of the oceans and rising only to attack and destroy innocent ships at a cost of many lives. Experts around the world are trying to discover the identity of the monster and possibly destroy it before even more lives are lost. Marine expert Professor Pierre Aronnax, his faithful companion Conseil and harpoonist Ned Land, set out aboard the Abraham Lincoln from Long Island in search of said monster. The monster attacks, and the three companions are thrown overboard and the ship's crew declares them lost. During the late 19th century, an unidentified Chinese man robs the Bank of England. To evade the police, he becomes the valet for Phileas Fogg, an inventor, taking the pseudonym Passepartout. Phileas, just before Passepartout arrived, had been trying to break the 50-mph speed barrier, and after succeeding with the help of Passepartout, they head to the Royal Academy of Science. There, Fogg is insulted by the other "brilliant minds", in particular William Thomson, 1st Baron Kelvin, who believes that everything worth discovering has already been discovered. Phileas is pressured into a bet to see whether he can travel around the world in 80 days. If he wins he will become Minister of Science in Lord Kelvin's place, if not he will destroy his lab and never invent anything again. Phileas and Passepartout start their journey around the world, taking a carriage and leaving London after a confrontation with Inspector Fix, a corrupt officer hired by the Royal Academy of Science to stop them.

In the year 3000, Earth has been ruled for 1,000 years by the Psychlos, a brutal race of giant humanoid aliens.
