Synopsis
A woman gets ready to leave for a get together and finds her husband dead in their room. In no time, a masked man tries to kill her too . His attempt gets failed and he escapes. The woman is now in a state of shock and mentally paralysed. A murder case is registered and investigation takes place. Susi (Kanchana) a young college girl comes to her home for vacation along with her friends. She lives with three younger paternal uncles - the victim who was killed in the first scene, Kamalanathan, Vimalanathan and her aunt who was supposed to be the victim in the hands of the murderer. Long time ago itself Susi's parents were killed. Susi meets Baskar (Ravichandran), a singer and both of them are attracted to each other at first sight.Actors

JB (M.G. Ramachandran) is a wealthy industrialist who decides to take a vacation at his residence in Shimla. Upon his arrival, he discovers that his caretaker (P. D. Sambandam) has rented his house to a Bangalore-based couple, Punyakodi (T. R. Ramachandran) and Pappamma (T. P. Muthulakshmi), and their daughter, Geetha (B. Saroja Devi). The caretaker and his wife leave for Varanasi after taking the money for the rent, leaving the caretaker's daughter, Kannamma (Manorama), and brother-in-law, Ramaiah (Nagesh), in charge of the house and the guests. JB decides not to reveal his true identity, pretending to be JB's personal secretary Balu, and pays the rent for a place in his own house. Ramaiah, who has never met JB, takes the money and gives JB's room to Balu.

The film starts with the murder of ex-commissioner by an escaped prisoner Kamal Ekambaram (Riyaz Khan). The story then shifts to Masilamani aka Massu (Suriya) and his friend Jet Li (Premgi Amaren) who are small-time con artists. Massu falls for Manini (Nayantara) and they subsequently fall in love. While trying to escape after a heist gone wrong, Massu and Jet meet with a car accident, post which Massu starts seeing dead people, with whom he can communicate. Jet had died in the accident and is now a ghost, too. Massu forms a group of loitering ghosts to earn money by performing fake exorcisms and extorting money from scared rich people, while promising the ghosts that he would fulfill their last wishes in return. Meanwhile, Manini who thought Massu was working in a finance company gets to know about the fake exorcisms and leaves him in a heist.

De retour d'Orient la jeune Ann Carrington se rend en taxi au manoir de son père qu'elle ne connait pas en compagnie de son amie Gail Richards. En chemin un mystérieux tireur embusqué fait éclater les pneus du taxi qui verse dans le fossé. Personne n'est blessé, mais le chauffeur de taxi laisse les deux jeunes femmes pendant qu'il s'en va chercher des secours. Celui-ci tardant à revenir, ils se font prendre (pratiquement de force) en stop par Topper et son chauffeur. Arrivé au manoir le médecin de famille met en garde Ann sur le fait que son père n'en a plus pour longtemps et qu'il ne fait pas le fatiguer. L'aspect morgue et lugubre des gens de maison de Carrington les amuse plutôt qu'autre chose, mais en passant sous un immense plafonnier celui-ci se dégringole et manque de justesse de s'écraser sur Ann. Les deux jeunes femmes sont logées dans de luxueuses chambres mais par caprice se les échangent. La nuit un mystérieux personnage pénètre dans la chambre d'Ann (qui n'y est donc pas) et poignarde à mort Gail. Le fantôme de Gail se détache de son corps et se rend chez Topper en l'obligeant à l'aider à retrouver son assassin. Le chauffeur de ce dernier qui les a accompagnés est terrorisé par le personnage invisible de Gail qui laisse des traces de pas sur le sol enneigé, prend la fuite et retourne chez ses maîtres. Madame Topper l'interroge et scandalisée par cette escapade nocturne de son mari s'en va à son tour chez les Carrington avec sa bonne et son chauffeur. Chez les Carrington, Gail et Topper retrouvent le corps assassiné, mais ce dernier se fait surprendre, finit par parler d'un cadavre, mais celui-ci vient de disparaître. Il s'ensuit un impressionnant et long chassé-croisé de tous ces personnages qui se croisent, se cachent, disparaissent, reviennent et passent par des passages secrets, d'autant qu'il faut maintenant y ajouter le chauffeur de taxi revenu toucher le prix de sa course et l'inspecteur de police accompagné de policiers. Le chauffeur de Topper disparaît dans une trappe, tombe dans un égout et voit des mystérieux personnages embarquer le cadavre de Gail. Finalement Topper arrivera à confondre l'assassin qui n'est autre que la personne qui se faisait passer pour le père d'Ann, (avec la complicité de la bonne) il prendra la fuite poursuivi en voiture par le fantôme de Gail et victime d'un accident il deviendra fantôme à son tour.

S.S.Rajendran's (SSR) father dies due to lack of medical assistance. His mother, with great difficulty educates him to be a surgeon. One day, his visit to treat Vijayakumari develops love for each other. Subbaiah, a rich man and father of Vijayakumari, objects to this but finally agrees saying that she must leave his house. After sometime, Vijayakumari begets a child but the child dies in a fire accident. This causes a misunderstanding between SSR-Vijayakumari. SSR feels that his hands cannot perform surgery, any more. The film opens with a parody of The Exorcist, during which a teenage girl, Megan Voorhees (Natasha Lyonne), becomes possessed by the spirit of Hugh Kane, the previous owner of the House. Megan's mother (Veronica Cartwright) calls in two priests, Father McFeely (James Woods) and Father Harris (Andy Richter), who visit the house. After Father McFeely pays a trip to the toilet, the men attempt to drive Hugh's ghost out, but the exorcism does not go as planned, resulting in a chain of projectile vomit and various instances of pedophilia. Finally, Father McFeely responds to an insult towards his mother by shooting Megan.
