Synopsis
Dr. Guido Tersilli finds himself in the hospital for a nervous breakdown. In fact, this is due to the disproportionate number of borrowed that the doctor had at his studio. However, a few months before this event Guido was a different person. He was just a simple pediatrician of Rome who performed a few visits for children. But the mother planned for him a great future as a doctor, and taught him to play dirty hospital where Guido worked to gain more customers can be borrowed. Mutual is an association that gave the Italians the State contribution for care by doctors, in Italy the period of maximum growth was precisely that of the sixties in which doctors and primary clinics trying to accumulate for their many customers who had to scrape together more money mutual. Tersilli from a simple pediatrician starts to become a real doctor raking here and there with mutual customers. The turning point occurs when Guido is called by a rich lady to visit her husband. Guido takes just a chance to woo the woman, although he was already engaged to another girl to bring her into his list of patients borrowed. So Guido, under the envy of colleagues, start earning with the rich lady countless customers borrowed touching the 2000 patients. However Guido fails for a long time to heal all the stress due to the ongoing work of the cause exhaustion. In the hospital Guido finds himself face to face with his enemies colleagues who decide to take care of him but stealing a portion of the best clients with mutual. Then Guido Tersilli continue to see patients but staying in bed and talking by phone.Actors

The doctor Guido Tersilli, with numerous cheating, has become the primary of a major clinic in Rome called Villa Celeste. Now he is no longer the simple surgeon of any hospital, but is a doctor by profession, which is enhanced by providing input to his clinic to very rich people of Rome. The previous clients borrowed for him now are not worth anything, especially the poors who can not afford, even if they're sick, stay in the clinic. Otello Celletti (Alberto Sordi) is an unemployed ex-soldier from a small town in Latium. Since the end of the war, he has been living with his family and father at the expense of his brother-in-law, Nando. One day he receives a letter that says he has been given a job as carrier in the town's markets, despite his request to join the local police. Unwilling to accept the new job, he manages to meet the town's Mayor (Vittorio De Sica) and get the position he sought for. As a policeman, Otello can finally take revenge on all who had been teasing him during the post-war period when he was a jobless man, but soon starts having trouble with his duties. Uncapable of directing the traffic properly at a rather busy crossing, he is moved to a peripheral area where his tasks are much easier and gets here the occasion he has always been waiting for: one day he is told by a man passing by that a car got stuck not far from there and that the car is no less than Sylva Koscina's (in the role of herself).

At the end of World War II, the promise of jobs and a chance to start a new life induced tens of thousands of young Italians to join the post-war immigration to Australia. In 1971, having lived about twenty-five years Down Under, one of those immigrants, middle-aged Amedeo Battipaglia, a lineman in the remote New South Wales settlement bearing the (fictional) name of Bun Bun Ga, several kilometers from the outback city of Broken Hill, is about to meet Carmela, his prospective bride from Rome, with whom he has been corresponding. Each of them misrepresented facts to the other — Carmela, a very attractive woman in her early thirties, is a semiliterate prostitute seeking an opportunity to get away from her abusive pimp, with the letters to Amedeo ghostwritten by her friend Rosalba, while Amedeo, feeling inadequate about his ordinary appearance, sent Carmela a photograph, taken about twenty years earlier, of himself between two Italian immigrant friends, Giuseppe Bartoni and Bampo. The arrow in the photo, however, is over Giuseppe because, when Amedeo visited his tall, handsome friend for advice, Giuseppe erased the arrow over Amedeo's head and pencilled it over his own head.

When attempts to break into the pop business leaves him with nothing but a bloody nose, songwriter Jason Jones (Robin Askwith) decides to take a break with "Hairy Holidays", an outfit run by shifty, gay travel agent Pollock (Dennis Price). After failing to chat Jason up, Pollock sends him to pseudo-health farm Brittlehurst Manor. On the train journey there Jason meets Judy (Vanessa Shaw) who is also on the way to the same destination to meet her long lost aunt. Both are unaware that the health farm (i.e. "Horror Hospital") is a front for Dr. Storm (Michael Gough) and his lobotomy experiments that turn wayward hippies into his mindless zombie slaves. The wheelchair-bound doctor surrounds himself with an entourage that includes Judy's aunt, erstwhile brothel madam Olga (Ellen Pollock), dwarf Frederick (Skip Martin) and numerous zombie biker thugs. Dr. Storm also has a Rolls Royce fitted with a giant blade that decapitates escapees and interfering parties. Abraham (Kurt Christian) arrives at the Horror Hospital "looking for his chick" and is promptly whacked around the head by the motorcycle zombies. Frederick, fed up at literally being Storm's whipping boy helps the kids escape—paving the way for the 70s youth to put the final spanner in the works to Storm's scheme.

Suite à un grave accident de sport dans une piscine, Ben, devenu tétraplégique incomplet, arrive dans un centre de rééducation. Il fait la rencontre d'autres handicapés (tétraplégiques, paraplégiques, traumatisés crâniens), tous victimes d'accidents, ainsi qu'un handicapé depuis sa petite enfance. Entre impuissance, désespoir et résignation, dans la lutte quotidienne pour réapprendre à bouger un doigt ou tenir une fourchette, quelques-uns retrouvent lentement un peu de mobilité tandis que d'autres reçoivent le verdict du handicap à vie. Malgré tout, l'espoir et l'amitié les aident à supporter leurs difficultés.
