Dans la peau de Jacques Chirac is a 2006 film by Karl Zero and Michel Royer. It has been produced by the same team which produced March of the Penguins.
It is a mockumentary which is a kind of unauthorized biography of Jacques Chirac, based on archival footage, and told at the first person (the voice of the French president is provided by imitator Didier Gustin). The main comic effect comes from the contradictions between the various speeches of the French President.
The title comes from the title of the French-language version of Being John Malkovich.
Synopsis
Dans la peau de Jacques Chirac retrace la carrière de l'homme politique depuis son entrée au gouvernement Pompidou en 1967 à partir des archives audiovisuelles de ses passages télévisés. Il s'agit pour le président de la République, dont la voix est imitée par Didier Gustin, d'établir le bilan de ses années de pouvoir à un an des élections présidentielle et législatives de 2007.Comments

The film begins with a series of security footages of armed bank robberies (one of the robbers was on a crutch) accompanied by the song Louie, Louie. Moore then uses an Encyclopædia Britannica archive video to compare and view modern-day America with the Roman Empire, by juxtaposing depictions of the fall of the Roman Empire with similar modern-day American issues. The film then depicts home videos of families being evicted from their homes, as well as the "Condo Vultures," a Florida real estate agency whose business flourished with the increasing number of foreclosures.
