Brahma Rudrulu is a 1986 Tollywood Action - Drama film directed by K Murali Mohan Rao and produced by Ashwini Dutt on Vyjayanthi Movies. Starring Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Venkatesh, Lakshmi and Rajani played the lead roles and music composed by Chakravarthy. The film was flop at the box office.

Synopsis

Justice Jagadesh Chandra Prasad (Akkineni Nageswara Rao) is a disciple of Justice. He once gives a judgement on Balagam Brahmaji (Paruchuri Gopala Krishna) that his election is not valid, for that he develops enmity on Jagadesh Chandra Prasad, he traps Jagadesh Chandra Prasad's brother-in-law Balaram (Ranganath) in a murder case for that Jagadesh Chandra Prasad gives death sentence to him, from that day onwards his sister Kanaka Durga (Sumitra) develops hatred on him and leaves his house.

Sreedevi (Shalini) is a daughter of Kiranmayi (Jayasudha), a mad woman. Eashwar Prasad (Daggubati Venkatesh) standing at the lakeshore, describes in a voice-over about his termination due to a common man walked into his life and turning everything topsy-turvy. This scene leads into the flashback. An unnamed man (Kamal Haasan) is shown strategically placing a travel bag within a train in a railway station, bus and in a multiplex at Hyderabad. He proceeds to place another bag, under the false pretense of lodging an FIR, in the toilet of a police station located at Lakdi-ka-pool, Hyderabad. He then arrives on the rooftop of a building under construction near Raj Bhavan road and sets up his base of operations, equipped with various modern technology gadgets and instruments. He calls up Eashwar and informs him that 5 bombs have been placed in different locations throughout Hyderabad, which are programmed to explode simultaneously within four hours. The common man demands that he would like to negotiate with a senior Government official. Eashwar seeks the services of the Chief Secretary(Lakshmi) to act as the negotiator. Eashwar also alerts his team involved in intelligence research and surveillance, tapping all the available resources in gathering preliminary information and tracing the location of the caller. Meanwhile, the caller tips off TV9 news reporter Shilpa Rajkumar (Anuja Iyer), telling her to reach Lakdi-ka-pool police station immediately as it is going to be "the most important day of her life".

Story opens with Chiru showingup on multiple TV screens as an announcer. After a clash, he is fired from work, and he joins ANR's garage as a mechanic. Here, he tries every possible trick up his sleeve to tease his boss's daughter(Vijayasanthi) and she too tries the same. After few comic scenes also involving brahmanandam, both fall in love . ANR realizing that chiru is his enemy's son, rejects their love. Chiru manages to persuade ANR to take revenge on his father(Satyanarayana) by acting as his son and entering into satyanarayana's house. Both Chiru and Vijayasanthi confuse everyone there about their relationship, as both enter the house as siblings, but behave as lovers. After few songs and a fight in the climax, everyone unites and thus ends the movie.

The kingdom of Dasharna’s has a brave and able army chief by the name Vikrama Simha (Krishna). Princess Alaknanda Devi (Jayapradha) is in love with him. The chief minister contrives to dethrone the king and procure the throne for his son. But as long as Vikrama Singha is present, his plans cannot bear fruit. So he traps Vikrama Singha by getting false witnesses to testify that he has tried to kill the princess. Vikrama Simha is exiled. Meanwhile, the neighbouring kingdom of Avanti has the crown prince Aditya Vardhana (Krishna) who looks exactly like Vikrama Singha is very jovial and tries to spend his time with Jaswanthi (Radha), a dancer who dances in the kingdom. The Queen of Avanti is not happy with this behavior of Aditya Vardhana and she tries to change his behavior and she succeeds in that. She always wanted Aditya Vardhana to get married to Alakananda Devi. But when Aditya Vardhana went to hunt in the forest, he finds Chandana or Vishakanya ( Mandakini) and falls in love with her. Chandana also loves him. Later after some incidents Chandana learns that she is a Vishakanya. She tries to commit Suicide but later is saved by Vikrama Simha. He changes Chandana. Aditya Vardhana convinces Vikrama Simha to rule his kingdom till some problems in the kingdom are solved. Vikrama Simha accepts to that and later returns the throne to Aditya Vardhana. The Raja Guru of Avanti contrives to procure the throne for his son. Aditya Vardhana marries Chandana. Vikrama Simha finally foils the chief minister’s plans to acquire the throne of Dasharna. Vikrama Simha marries Alakananda Devi.

Krishna Murthy (Rajendra Prasad) is son of industrialist Satyanarayana (Nutan Prasad). Satyanarayana is worried about Krishna Murthy's marriage, so much so that he imagines every young woman who happened to be seen by him as his daughter-in-law. Krishna Murthy meets Padma (Rajani) in his friend's marriage and cupid strikes them. Krishna Murthy is afraid of revealing his love for Padma to his father directly as he fears his father may reject it out rightly. His initial attempts to reveal his love life to his father through letters are thwarted by his butler in fear for Satyanarayana's life. Desperate to reveal the love matter to Satyanarayana, Krishnamurthy then tries various gimmicks and at last is successful. A panicked Satyanarayana inquires about the family background of Padma and finds out that she is the daughter of Lakshmipathy (Kota Srinivasa Rao), a noted miser in his village. Aware of his father's concerns, Krishnamurthy reassures Satyanarayana and lands in Lakshmipathy's house posing as a miser. Krishnamurthy's pretense and pranks beget intended effect in Lakshmipathy and brings him closer to Padma. A marriage proposal from Sudhakar (Subhaleka Sudhakar), who is accompanied by his two glutton brothers much to the chagrin of Lakshmipathy, for Padma ends in Lakshmipathy favoring Krishnamurthy. Elated with the turn of events, Krishnamurthy prepares for marriage with Padma and invites Satyanarayana. However, his plans turn soar as Lakshmipathy, in his greed for money, abuses Krishnamurthy assuming that he is from poor family, before Satyanarayana confronts Lakshmipathy. A dejected Krishnamurthy requests Satyanarayana to give him one more chance to teach Lakshmipathy a lesson. Krishnamurthy, along with 'aragundu' Brahmanandam (Brahmanandam), a disgruntled butler of Lakshmipathy set about to transform Lakshmipathy. Krishnamurthy tacitly arranges for three different marriage proposals, starting with Sudhakar, with each proposer agreeing to offer more bride price than the earlier proposer. Overcome with greed for money, Lakshmipathy agrees to get her daughter married with each one of them. At the time of marriage with the bridegroom who offered the highest bride price, the other two bridegrooms also appear at the same time and question Lakshmipathy. An embarrassed Lakshmipathy is censured by Padma for his greed.
