Add to a movie listBraveStarr: The Movie (released in Europe as BraveStarr: The Legend) is an animated Space Western released on March 18, 1988 by Taurus Entertainment. The film was based on Filmation's television series and Mattel's action figure of the same name, and was also among the first animated features to use computer graphics. The PAL-based European version of the movie has been released to Region 1 DVD as a bonus feature in the July 3, 2007 release of The Best of BraveStarr from BCI Eclipse. The movie received its own single DVD release on May 6, 2008.
Unlike The Secret of the Sword (which was later edited into the first five She-Ra episodes), the BraveStarr movie was produced and released following the conclusion of the TV series.
Sharing the same fate as the toy and TV show, it was not a box-office success, playing only to weekend matinées in limited markets. A year after its release, Filmation closed down for good; its last full-length production, Happily Ever After, did not premiere until 1993.
Synopsis
The film tells the story of the original discovery of Kerium (a fictional ore that serves as the main plot element of the TV series), and of how protagonist Bravestarr first opposed Tex Hex (an outlaw) and his master Stampede (an evil spirit) on the planet of New Texas. It also introduces his allies: J.B. McBride (a female judge), Thirty/Thirty (a belligerent cyborg stallion capable of assuming a bipedal stance), Deputy Fuzz (one of the indigenous people of New Texas), and the Shaman (Bravestarr's mentor). At the beginning of the story, the Shaman establishes himself on New Texas, to challenge Stampede, who earlier destroyed the shaman's nation in the attempt to absorb a metaphysical power owned by them: vaguely described, but identified as the source of the shaman's magic, and exploited by his people as a fuel-source. Soon afterward, Stampede acquires Tex-Hex and his sidekick Skuzz as assistants; and these, in turn, assemble a gang of robbers. Distraught by their depredations, the colonists of New Texas demand the installation of a 'Planetary Marshal' to police their colony; and protagonist 'Bravestarr' (the shaman's protege) is appointed, alongside Judge J.B. McBride. At their first encounter, Bravestarr humiliates Tex-Hex, who in turn separates him from the colony. In search of him, J.B. is attacked by highwaymen, but rescued by the 'Prairie People': a species of anthropoid marmot, native to New Texas, but hitherto ignored by the colonists. Soon, she befriends the Prairie People, and they accept her authority. Meanwhile, Bravestarr reconnects with the Shaman, and acquires a new partner in Thirty/Thirty. Ultimately, Stampede sends an army of undead monsters against the colony; but these are repelled by the joint efforts of Bravestarr, Thirty/Thirty, J.B., and the Prairie People, whereas Stampede and Tex-Hex are banished by the Shaman's energized staff. In conclusion, Bravestarr, Thirty/Thirty, J.B., and Bravestarr's deputy 'Fuzz' ride to Starr Peak (the Shaman's sanctuary) to converse with him in safety.Actors

In 2005, Unicron, a roaming artificial planet, devours robot planet Lithone. Elsewhere, the evil Decepticons control the Transformers' homeworld, Cybertron. The heroic Autobots are using two of Cybertron's moons as staging areas, preparing to strike against the Decepticons. In need of energon cubes, an Autobot shuttle is readied for launch to Autobot City on Earth. The Decepticons ambush the shuttle, killing Brawn, Prowl, Ratchet and Ironhide, intending to use the ship to infiltrate Autobot City.

The Sorceress of Castle Grayskull is woken one night by a mysterious magic sword that leads her to a glowing portal known as a 'Time Gate'. Recognizing the sword as the 'Sword of Protection', the Sorceress summons Prince Adam and Cringer the tiger to Castle Grayskull and sends them through the portal to find the person destined to possess the sword. Finding themselves in the otherdimensional world of Etheria, Adam and Cringer stop at an inn for lunch and discover Etheria is ruled by an evil intergalactic army known as the Horde. Peter-No-Tail (Pelle Svanslös) is a cat born without a tail. He compensates this by studying hard, and much to the dismay of his arch-rival Magnus (Måns), he receives a high university degree that few cats in the university town of Uppsala, Sweden, have obtained. Every year, all of the classic Hollywood monsters (consisting of Frankenstein's monster, his wife Repulsa, a Mummy, the Witch Sisters, Bone Jangles the Skeleton, Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Snyde, Swamp Thing, and Dragonfly) gather at Count Dracula's castle in Transylvania for the "Monster Road Rally", an ultimate road race similar to Wacky Races, awarding the winner with the "Monster of the Year" award as well as many other prizes only monsters would enjoy (and one prize — a trip to Hawaii — that none of the monsters want). When the evil alien Zanon comes to enslave earth, all hope seems lost. The Earth's resident superheroes, the Spacewomen, are powerless to stop him. They must enlist the help of a young boy who has a special connection with the giant turtle Gamera. The Friend of All Children then battles Gyaos (a huge flying vampiric bat/pterosaur), Zigra (an alien shark), Viras (a space squid), Jiger (a giant phehistoric dinosaur), Guiron (a knife-headed extraterrestrial demon beast) and finally Barugon (a enormous lizard whose tongue sprays a freezing liquid that can freeze things solid and a massive back which emits a powerful rainbow energy ray that can melt or dissolve any hard solids). Gamera self-destructs in the end to destroy Zanon once and for all and protect the earth.

Bastian Balthazar Bux (Barret Oliver), a shy and friendless bibliophile child, hides in a bookstore, interrupting the grumpy bookseller, Mr. Coreander (Thomas Hill). Bastian asks about one of the books he sees, but Mr. Coreander advises against it; despite which, Bastian seizes the book, leaving a note promising to return it, and hides in the school's attic to read. The book describes the world of Fantasia threatened by a force called "The Nothing"; where the Childlike Empress (Tami Stronach) who rules over Fantasia has fallen ill, and has summoned Atreyu (Noah Hathaway) to discover the cure. Atreyu is therefore given the AURYN. As Atreyu sets out, the Nothing summons Gmork (voiced by Alan Oppenheimer), a werewolf, to kill Atreyu.

Peter-No-Tail is a cat who's born without a proper tail on a farm by the Swedish countryside. Due to economical difficulties, the farmer is forced to get rid of Peter. The farmer can't bring himself to drown the cat, so he sneaks Peter inside the car of a family who are renting a house close to the farm for their summer vacation. When the family finally reach their home in Uppsala, Sweden, they find Peter and decide to keep him. Without a tail, he becomes the talk of the town among the other cats and, especially Mike, who teases him cruelly. Mean Mike and his two companions, Bill and Bull, are notorious for the nasty tricks they like to play on other cats. Mike is currently trying to court Molly Silk-Nose, but his rough and silly approach does not impress her, since she becomes interested in the kind and gentle Peter. But Mike won't give up that easily and he has a plan for how he'll get his revenge.
