Synopsis
Saravanan is a Bus Driver in a college. He also takes care of an Orphanage which is home to numerous children and old-aged people. Indhu, a student of the college tries to Woo Saravanan while Rowdy's and other Anti-Social elements in the city are found dead one after the other. Chakravarthy, the politico who loses his right-hand man vows revenge and realizes that, Saravanan the person who killed his henchmen is indeed an Army Major whom he and his men had eliminated years ago in a scuffle over his sister Saranya's land.Actors

The film opens with Arasu (Sarath Kumar) murdering a person in Mumbai. Later the story shifts to Kumbakonam where he is an assistant to a temple priest (Delhi Ganesh). Soon the priest’s daughter Meera (Simran) falls in love with Arasu. At the stroke of interval Arasu sheds his mask and murders a rowdy who is out from jail and this shocks everybody. Then in a flashback he tells that his father (Sarath Kumar) believes in taking law into his hands and thus had lot of enemies. When he confronts a bad guy (Sai Kumar) and humiliates him, the villains later kills Arasu’s father. The rest of the story is how Arasu takes revenge.

Raghavan (Sarathkumar) and Velu (Vadivelu) work as cooks in a non-veg hotel. Raghavan loves Geetha (Kiran) who is the daughter of a rich man (Vijayan), but her father is against this love and insults him as a poor man. Raghavan challenges that he will be rich in a year. There is a subplot in the story, for Meenakshi (Sharmili), a daughter from a rich family; she is the apple of the eye of the family. Meenakshi ran home with her lover Raju, who worked as a driver to her house. He tells that his friend Dinesh will help them. However, Raju escaped because he saw a bad dream where he is killed by her family as if it will happen in reality. Due to that he vanishes. Raghavan understood her plight and helps her.

Maayi (Sarathkumar) is the well-respected, do-gooder in the village. He sees women in the village as his sisters and even conducts their marriages. He is a man who is ready to kill his father(Vijayakumar) when he learns that he had a second wife. Revealing his sad past, Maayi tells her why he can never think of marrying any woman. Later Meena was forced to married another guy. But during the marriage the guys family misunderstood that Meena and Sarathkumar are lovers and stopped the marriage. In the end; Sarathkumar married Meena.
