The film took about two years to completely finish shooting because Lodge Kerrigan, the director, was constantly running out of money. The film was screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 1994 Cannes Film Festival.
Synopsis
The film begins with abstract images and sounds, much like any person with schizophrenia would be accustomed to. Peter Winter has recently been released from a mental institution and upon his release, must try to experience and understand a world that is all but foreign to him.Actors

Eom Joong-ho is a dishonest ex-detective turned pimp who is in financial trouble because two of his girls have gone missing. One night he sends Mi-jin, one of his few remaining girls, to a customer. Special Agent Jennifer Marsh (Diane Lane) is a widowed single parent living in a suburban Portland home with her daughter, Annie Haskins (Perla Haney-Jardine), and her mother, Stella Marsh (Mary Beth Hurt). The film begins in 1944 with John Christie murdering his neighbor Muriel Eady: he lures her to his flat in 10 Rillington Place by promising to cure her bronchitis with a "special mixture", then incapacitates her with carbon monoxide gas, strangles her with a piece of rope, and has (implied) sex with her corpse.
