Congo – A Political Tragedy is a 2008 independent documentary about the political history of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, starting with Leopold II of Belgium in 1885 and continuing to Laurent-Désiré Kabila's death.

Synopsis

Le documentaire relate l'histoire du pays, de l'État libre du Congo à la RDC et présente la plupart des personnages clés qui ont joué un rôle dans son histoire, tels que le roi belge Léopold II, Patrice Lumumba, Joseph Kasa-Vubu, Joseph Mobutu, Moise Tshombe et Laurent Désiré Kabila.

In 1982, Ari Folman was a nineteen-year-old infantry soldier in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). In 2006, he meets with a friend from his army service period, who tells him of the nightmares connected to his experiences from the Lebanon War.
