Abbas Rowther, had musical score by Ilaiyaraaja and was released on 9 July 1998. The film is a remake of the Hindi film Ziddi. It was dubbed in Telugu as Vikram Dharma.
Synopsis
Dharma (Vijayakanth) lives with his lawyer father (Jaishankar), his mother (Vadivukkarasi), his journalist brother Vijay (Thalaivasal Vijay) and beloved sister Geetha (Shilpa). Dharma and Sharmila (Preetha Vijayakumar) fall in love with each other. Dharma is an angry man who cannot tolerate injustice. One day, his sister is molested by a rowdy Raja and Dharma kills him in public. Thus, he is sent in jail. In the meantine, Ranjith (Ranjith), Dharma's friend, becomes an ACP.Actors

Vishnu (Vijay)'s father wants to bring up his son as a timid person but the guy desires to explore the world and hates his Dad's overprotection. Rajinikanth is a rich man who lives with his sister (Rajasulochana) and a young house maid in Chennai. Her sister arranges a marriage for Rajinikanth with Sridevi, who lives in Trichy. Rajinikanth finds himself to be an orphan. He travels from his village to Madras. There he meets Janakaraj, who gives him a job.
