Maniyan Pillai Raju and Lizy appeared in the leading roles, and were supported by Mukesh, Nedumudi Venu, Sreenivasan, Nedumudi Venu, Jagathi Sreekumar and Shankar. The story is adapted from British musical comedy film Happy Go Lovely.
The film was a big hit at the box office.
Synopsis
Shivasubrahmaniam (Maniyan Pillai Raju), an innocent bank employee is in love with Rohini (Lizzy), but is afraid to express her his love. His grandmother but wants him to be a Brahmachari and become a priest at the nearby temple. Rohini is working as an artist at the Keerikkad ballet troupe run by Keerikkad Chellappan Nair (Nedumudi Venu). As per the advice of Shankaran Pillai (Jagathi Sreekumar), the assistant of Chellapan Nair, Subru joins the ballet troupe to woo Rohini. She is attracted to his innocent and straight forward behavior and fells in love with him. One day, when missed her bus, Rohini asks a car driver a lift, and she is dropped at the ballet troupe office. Accidentally the car belongs to Suresh Menon (Shankar), a rich business tycoon of the area. Sankaran and Chellappan Nair mistakes her to be in love with Suresh Menon. Chellappan, to appease Suresh Menon offers heroine's role to Rohini and gives an increment. Subrahmaniam is suspended from bank for not attending office for long time. Due to certain misunderstandings, Rohini breaks up with him, hurting him deeply. Subru is also thrown out of the troupe by Chellappan Nair for not performing up to the mark. In the mean time Suresh Menon on knowing about Rohini and her claims of being his girl friend appears in front of her. Not knowing that he is original Suresh Menon, she takes his help in solving out the mess created at the ballet troupe. Suresh Menon solving out the mess and uniting Subru with Rohini forms the rest of the story.Actors

Madhavan, who calls himself M.A.Dhavan (Sreenivasan) is back in Kerala after spending a few years getting his MBA in USA. His schoolmate Shambhu (Mohanlal) is now working as a driver at his house, whom the now vain and snobbish Madhavan treats with disdain. Madhavan's parents want him to get married to Shobha (Lizy), daughter of Sardar Krishna Kurup (Jagathy Sreekumar), a rich and aristocratic businessman. Madhavan, who wants to observe his fiancée from a distance, decides to go to her house disguised as a driver and makes his driver Shambhu act as himself. Just minutes after they set out from he house, his parents telephone Krishna Kurupp about their son's scheme. Various mishaps on way end up with Madhavan discarding his plan and deciding to visit as himself. Unaware of the change in plan, Kurup and wife have the driver Shambhu mistaken for the prospective groom and Madhavan as the driver. The prospective in-laws dote over Shambu, ignoring Madhavan, who is unaware of the impression that Kurup and wife are under. In the meantime Shobha, who also mistakes Shambhu as the fiance, falls in love with him. At the same time, Sardar Koma Kurup (Kuthiravattam Pappu), is in a big fight with Krishna Kurup for past long years. Both are trying to capture the power at the Nethaji Club, a reputed social club for personal reasons. Damu (Maniyanpilla Raju) enters inside the house of Koma Kurup and wins his heart. But the real intention of Damu is to kill Koma Kuruppu and marry his daughter Aruna (Priya), so that he could grab the whole property. But one after another, the attempts of Damu to kill Koma Kurup fails, with each time, he hurting himself. It was then, Shivan (Mukesh), a friend of Damu arrives at the house of Koma Kurup as the brother of Damu, who also makes everyone believe that he is a heart patient. He succeeds in winning the heart of Aruna, destroying the plans of Damu. Thus the two love stories, one between Shambhu and Shobha and the other between Shivan and Aruna, blooms side by side. This unites Shambhu and Shivan against Madhavan and Damu. Madhavan hires Kadathanatt Pappan Gurukkal (Cochin Haneefa), a known goon to beat up Shambhu, but instead, he himself got beaten up by Shambhu. This incident makes Shambhu to force Krishna Kurup to conduct the marriage within three days. But, everything turns more messy as the parents of Madhavan makes a surprise visit at the house of Sardar Krishna Kurup. They finds the foul play of Shambhu, and Krishna Kurup, who realizes the mistake decides to get his daughter married to Madhavan. Shobha, who by this time is in love with Shambhu is adamant that she won't marry Madhavan. The marriage venue and date is fixed. At the same time Sardar Koma Kurup also finds out that his daughter is in love with Shivan, a jobless chap, which he objects to. At the marriage venue both Shambhu and Shivan are denied entry. They calls up police by informing that there is gold hidden by Krishna Kurup at the marriage hall. Police enters the venue and then happens a long fight packed with several comic incidents. In the end, with the help of police inspector (Jagadish), Shambhu marries Shobha and Shivan marries Aruna. This tragic incident unites both Krishna Kurup and Koma Kurup. Everything ends well and both couples starts their married life with the blessing of all others including Madhavan and Damu.

Sivaraman (Mohanlal), an unemployed man, comes to Mumbai to find a job. Unfortunately he loses all his certificates but happens to find Govindan Kutty (Mukesh), who also is a jobless man (from Sivaraman's native place) wandering in Mumbai. They try to get visa from a travel agency but finds no way to gather such massive amount. Govindan Kutty persuades Sivaraman to participate in a bank robbery planned by Thomas (Cochin Haneefa) and his gang - his stammering brother Tyootty (Jagadish) and Alina (who pretends to be Thomas' lover) - which puts them in more trouble as the robbery ends in vain when they hit Pothuval (Innocent). Alina secretly informs the police about the robbery and tells that the entire plan was carried out by Thomas. Thomas, before getting arrested, hides the money, and the place is kept secret except to his lawyer, Nambeeshan (Jagathy Sreekumar). Alina fakes to be in love with Nambeeshan to find the place where the money is hidden.

Gopan (Mukesh), Kora (Jagadish) and Bhakthavalsan (Sreenivasan) are three college students who share same house along with Prem (Shankar), another classmate. While the trio are more interested in loafing their time by flirting with girls, Prem is more serious in his attitude towards life. On a usual encounter, the trio meets Major Nair (Nedumudi Venu), a retired man in his fifties, who but loves romancing young girls. After a series of ego clashes, Nair learns that the trio is trying to woo his daughter Minu (Lizy). Nair, enraged, challenges them to make his daughter fall for them. Nair agrees that he would shave his head if Minu falls in love with anyone within 4 months. Govind says that he would shave his mustache to half if he loses the bet.

Story revolves around two friends Narayanan Kutty (Mohanlal) and Balan (Shankar Panicker). Working as a mechanic at K&K Automobiles in Chennai, Narayanan Kutty is always lusty towards girls. In short time, Narayanan Kutty falls in love with Mala, whom he mistakes to be Sujatha (Lizy Priyadarshan). Things get much complicated for him as she also reciprocates in the same manner. On the other hand, the life of Balan was going too smoothly until the parents of his fiancée arrives in the city along with her to see his office. Balan, who is actually an attender at the office had lied to them that he is a manager of the company. To add more trouble, M.N Nambiar decides to marry again, which his daughter objects vehemently, inviting more clashes. How Balan and Narayanan Kutty solve out the troubles and loose the knots that they created, forms the rest of the story.

After Nadodikkattu and Pattanapravesham, CIDs Ramdas and Vijayan are back for another wacky adventure. When a priceless gold crown is stolen from India, Ramdas (Mohanlal) and Vijayan (Sreenivasan) are sent to the United States to retrieve it. The only clue they have is a pseudonym ("Paul Barber") and a piece of a torn shirt. In the States, the two remain as helpless and clueless as they were in the two prequel films and realize that this is their toughest case yet. They search for Paul Barber, the real criminal, but in vain. They finally by luck retrieve the crown and all the criminals are killed in a comic shoot out between them and the CIDs. And in the end they return to India as heroes.

The film is set in a fictitious poverty-ridden village of Gowlipady, which is virtually ruled by the ruthless zamindari Bhandaravathi (Sukanya). Kashi (Nedumudi Venu) is a lottery salesman. He is the only literate person of his village. Once, a lottery sold by him happens to win the first prize of 5 Crore Indian Rupee. Greedy Kashi tries to get back the lottery ticket but doesn't know to whom he has sold the ticket to. So, he conducts a treat exclusive to all those who buys ticket from him and to gain entrance need to give their tickets back. As the treat ends, all the tickets he have sold except one is collected. Later, he comes to know that the one remaining ticket, the same ticket which won the prize, sold to Anthony (Nandu) is still not collected.
