Add to a movie listG.I. Joe: The Movie is a 1987 animated film spin-off from the animated series G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero, based on the original Hasbro toyline. It was produced by Sunbow Productions and Marvel Productions and was animated in Japan by Toei Animation.
Created at the height of the G.I. Joe craze in the 1980s, G.I. Joe: The Movie was intended as a theatrical release to be closely followed by The Transformers: The Movie. However, the G.I. Joe film encountered unexpected production delays which allowed the Transformers feature to be released first. Due to the poor box office performances of the Transformers film and My Little Pony: The Movie, G.I. Joe: The Movie was instead released direct-to-video as well as aired on television in syndication, first in feature length format and later split into a five-part miniseries format as part of the show's syndication package.
Synopsis
While Cobra Commander and Serpentor blame each other's stewardship of Cobra as the root cause of the organization's failures, Pythona, a woman from the secret civilization Cobra-La, infiltrates the Terror Drome. While there, she reveals to Serpentor that Cobra-La was responsible for inspiring Doctor Mindbender to create Serpentor through dream manipulation. At her urging, Serpentor plans to capture G.I. Joe's latest weapon, the Broadcast Energy Transmitter (BET).Actors

In 2005, Unicron, a roaming artificial planet, devours robot planet Lithone. Elsewhere, the evil Decepticons control the Transformers' homeworld, Cybertron. The heroic Autobots are using two of Cybertron's moons as staging areas, preparing to strike against the Decepticons. In need of energon cubes, an Autobot shuttle is readied for launch to Autobot City on Earth. The Decepticons ambush the shuttle, killing Brawn, Prowl, Ratchet and Ironhide, intending to use the ship to infiltrate Autobot City.

The year is 1849. Huckleberry Hound rides west on his "faithful horsie" in hopes of starting a country farm; his journey takes him to the small town of Two-Bit, California, where the Dalton Gang are terrorizing the townsfolk. As Huck enters town, the Daltons race past him taking his possessions. Entering the local saloon, Huck tries to buy a drink with a large gold nugget; seeing this, the Daltons coerce Huck into playing poker, with the stakes being Huck's gold in return for his stolen possessions. Huck accuses them of cheating, so they challenge him to a fight in a boxing ring, which Huck (surprisingly) wins.

A stunt pilot trio called the "Flying Angels" (Scott Masterson, Chuck Gavin, and Beth O'Brien), are caught in a bizarre flash of light and crash, only to emerge unharmed. They are later informed by an agent of an interstellar peace-keeping agency (whose secret identity is the groundskeeper at a Pebble Beach golf course) that they have become the host bodies of warriors from the planet Altara in M78 to capture escaped monsters from the planet Sorkin who have arrived on Earth. They become the Ultra Force, headquartered within Mount Rushmore, and are assisted by a trio of robots, (the pint-sized Andy, the strong Samson, and the twitchy Ulysses). Although equipped with futuristic fighter crafts, inevitably one or more of the team is required to transform into an Ultraman, a gigantic red and silver superhuman being, to battle the monsters. After destroying the most powerful Sorkin monster, the constantly growing King Maira, the Ultra Force remains together to combat further threats to planet Earth.

The film tells the story of the original discovery of Kerium (a fictional ore that serves as the main plot element of the TV series), and of how protagonist Bravestarr first opposed Tex Hex (an outlaw) and his master Stampede (an evil spirit) on the planet of New Texas. It also introduces his allies: J.B. McBride (a female judge), Thirty/Thirty (a belligerent cyborg stallion capable of assuming a bipedal stance), Deputy Fuzz (one of the indigenous people of New Texas), and the Shaman (Bravestarr's mentor). At the beginning of the story, the Shaman establishes himself on New Texas, to challenge Stampede, who earlier destroyed the shaman's nation in the attempt to absorb a metaphysical power owned by them: vaguely described, but identified as the source of the shaman's magic, and exploited by his people as a fuel-source. Soon afterward, Stampede acquires Tex-Hex and his sidekick Skuzz as assistants; and these, in turn, assemble a gang of robbers. Distraught by their depredations, the colonists of New Texas demand the installation of a 'Planetary Marshal' to police their colony; and protagonist 'Bravestarr' (the shaman's protege) is appointed, alongside Judge J.B. McBride. At their first encounter, Bravestarr humiliates Tex-Hex, who in turn separates him from the colony. In search of him, J.B. is attacked by highwaymen, but rescued by the 'Prairie People': a species of anthropoid marmot, native to New Texas, but hitherto ignored by the colonists. Soon, she befriends the Prairie People, and they accept her authority. Meanwhile, Bravestarr reconnects with the Shaman, and acquires a new partner in Thirty/Thirty. Ultimately, Stampede sends an army of undead monsters against the colony; but these are repelled by the joint efforts of Bravestarr, Thirty/Thirty, J.B., and the Prairie People, whereas Stampede and Tex-Hex are banished by the Shaman's energized staff. In conclusion, Bravestarr, Thirty/Thirty, J.B., and Bravestarr's deputy 'Fuzz' ride to Starr Peak (the Shaman's sanctuary) to converse with him in safety.

At an unspecified future time, the United States is a police state. A substantial percentage of the population was wiped out by a devastating viral pandemic twenty years previously. Amidst the resulting chaos and general panic, democracy collapsed and a totalitarian cabal seized power. After moving the seat of government to Boston, the new dictatorship outlawed ownership and use of all automobiles, boats, and aircraft, on the pretext (later proven false) that an even bigger crisis, the exhaustion of fossil fuel supplies, was imminent. The loss of other personal freedoms followed, and surveillance cameras now monitor private citizens' every move.

Recent divorcée Gloria Mundy (Goldie Hawn) is a San Francisco librarian. While attending a party, she is encouraged by a friend to leave herself open to new experiences. On the way home, Gloria picks up an attractive man named Bob "Scotty" Scott (Bruce Solomon) when she encounters him and his disabled car on Highway 1. She impulsively accepts Scotty's invitation to join him at the movies that evening, and before they part ways he asks her to take his pack of cigarettes in order to help him curb his smoking.
