Synopsis
Lara, adolescente belge introvertie de 15 ans, s'impose une discipline stricte pour devenir danseuse étoile. Avec l'appui de sa professeure de danse classique qui croit en elle, elle va au bout de ses possibilités physiques par un travail acharné, supportant avec stoïcisme les souffrances que lui infligent ses pieds meurtris. Jeune femme trans, assignée homme à sa naissance, elle prend la décision de s'hormoner et d'avoir recours à de la chirurgie, avec l'appui de son père bienveillant et compréhensif. Mais elle perd patience quand la thérapie hormonale s'avère trop lente. En outre, les moqueries de ses camarades de danse, qui veulent à tout prix la voir nue, et ses premiers émois amoureux teintés de honte et quelque peu chaotiques, rendent son parcours professionnel, les rapports humains et son équilibre mental très fragiles.Actors

In 1931 Berlin, young American Sally Bowles performs at the Kit Kat Klub. A new British arrival in the city, Brian Roberts, moves into the boarding house where Sally lives. A reserved academic and writer, Brian gives English lessons to earn a living while completing his doctorate. Sally tries seducing Brian and suspects he may be gay. Brian tells Sally that on three previous occasions he has tried to have physical relationships with women, all of which failed. They become friends, and Brian witnesses Sally's anarchic, bohemian life in the last days of the German Weimar Republic. Sally and Brian become lovers despite their earlier reservations; they conclude that his previous failures with women were because they were "the wrong three girls".

Tom, a young advertising copywriter, travels to the country for the funeral of his boyfriend Guillaume. Ali Rose (Aguilera) moves to Los Angeles after she quits her bar job when her boss refuses to pay her. The film suggests Nijinsky was driven into madness by both his consuming ambition and self-enforced heterosexuality. He became involved with Romola de Pulszky, a society girl who joined impresario Sergei Diaghilev's Ballets Russes specifically to seduce Nijinsky. In Buenos Aires, Mario Suárez, a middle-aged theatre director, is left holed up in his apartment, licking his wounds when his girlfriend (and principal dancer) Laura leaves him. Nomi Malone is a young drifter who hitchhikes to Las Vegas hoping to make it as a showgirl.
