Good Fences, starring Whoopi Goldberg, Danny Glover, Ryan Michelle Bathe Ashley Archer and Mo'Nique, is a made-for-TV movie that debuted in 2003. It is about the stresses of prejudice on an upwardly mobile black family in 1970s Greenwich, Connecticut. Danny Glover plays the overworked, stressed husband and Whoopi plays his steadfast wife; she won an Image Award for her role.

Synopsis

Un procureur afro-américain réalise son rêve : devenir un avocat réputé dans un milieu où les blancs sont en majorité. Alors qu'il a quitté sa ville natale pour la ville de Greenwich depuis quelques semaines en compagnie de sa compagne et de ses deux enfants, il ne tarde pas à découvrir l'envers du décor. Le rêve de toute une vie se mue très vite en cauchemar...

Jack Mason is a homeless man from Seattle who loses his only friends—a fellow homeless man and his pet dog—on the same day.
