Synopsis

Will Keough est propriétaire d'un ranch avec ses deux petits frères, Bless et Hade. Ils vivent avec leur mère devenue veuve, Hannah. Leur père a été mordu par un serpent à sonnettes quand Bless était un jeune garçon. Depuis ce jour, Hannah est déterminée à protéger Bless de la vie dure de l'Ouest et son tournent.

Will Keough is a rancher with two younger brothers, who are called Bless and Hade. They live with their widowed mother, Hannah, whose husband was bitten by a rattlesnake when Bless was a young boy. Ever since that day, Hannah has been determined to shield Bless from the hard life of the West and turn him instead into a refined, gentler soul. In so doing, she sometimes embarrasses Bless in front of the ranch's other men.

Chester Graham Jr, fils gâté et insupportable du directeur d'une compagnie de chemin de fer, voyage avec son père vers Santa Fè. Lorsque Dan reconduira le jeune Chester à son père, le garçon capricieux et imbu de lui-même aura fait place à un jeune homme avisé, travailleur et respectueux des autres.

Roy Turner (Danton), a mental patient with a violent past, is prematurely released from the ward due to overcrowding. The doctors tell him to avoid stressful situations. Realizing that he can't handle the pressures of big-city life he moves into a beachside motel in a small coastal town. There he falls in love with Susan Mayes (Miller), the daughter of the motel's owner. But when her father discovers that he is a mental patient he threatens Turner to have him recommitted unless he leaves his daughter alone. Turner snaps momentarily, killing him, and he and Suisan flee down the beach. He tries to kill her by pushing her into the water, but comes to his senses and rescues her. He ends up turning himself in.
