Synopsis
Comment se débarrasser d'un mari qui refuse de quitter le domicile conjugal ? C'est le problème de Marie-Do, confrontée à l'obstination de Bertrand, son époux. Marie-Do a été une femme docile, sage, voire trop sage qui, un jour, grâce à Antoine, son amant, découvre la liberté. Alors, elle demande à Bertrand de partir mais celui-ci s'accroche, suscitant ainsi la sympathie d'Antoine. Le regard compatissant de son amant sur son mari exaspère Marie-Do. Elle finira par découvrir qu'Antoine est scénariste, il passe son temps à faire évoluer à son gré les personnages qu'il croise ou qu'il invente.Actors

Two rival sisters, Alice and Elsa, have been apart for two years. Alice, a promising young artist, lives in an attic flat in Paris. Her lover Franck, a boxer, has just moved in with her. Jane Steiner (Greta Scacchi) is an actress on the verge of giving up on her unfulfilling career who is offered a small part in an American movie set in the 1950s about Cesare Pavese, in which Steve Elliot (Peter Coyote) is playing the lead. Steve is a charming American movie star who is passionate about the writer he is playing although his work unknown in America. Entre Nous tells the story of two young married women in the 1950s who don't recognise how unfulfilled they have been in their marriages until they meet each other. In the preliminary scenes, set in 1942, Lena (Isabelle Huppert), a pretty 18-year-old, has been arrested and brought to an internment camp for Jews in the Pyrenees. The camp is guarded by members of the French Foreign Legion, and one of them, Michel (Guy Marchand), writes her a note warning her she may be deported to a German Nazi camp, and offers her marriage as a means of escape. She accepts. During the marriage ceremony she discovers that he too is Jewish; she's dismayed to learn that she won't have the protection of a gentile name.

Durant l'été 1958, Frédérique, 13 ans, et sa petite sœur Sophie, 8 ans, partent comme tous les ans en vacances à La Baule pour aller voir leur oncle Léon, leur tante Bella et leurs cousins. Mais cette année, Léna, leur mère, leur annonce qu'elle ne viendra que plus tard. Frédérique ne trouve pas cette situation normale. En effet, en réalité, Léna ne s'entend plus avec son mari Michel, qui, lui aussi, a décidé de ne pas venir en vacances dans un premier temps. Léna qui souhaite le divorce, est tombée amoureuse de Jean-Claude, un artiste. Les deux amoureux vont à la plage de La Baule, mais leur relation doit rester discrète, alors que, pendant ce temps, les enfants découvrent leurs premiers émois sentimentaux. Mais Michel et leurs enfants Frédérique et Sophie finiront par découvrir assez vite la réalité, avec ses allers-retours un peu étranges et sa nouvelle voiture dont Michel se demande à quoi elle peut bien lui servir.
