Add to a movie listThe Jersey Odysseys, Episode 1: Legend of the Blue Hole is a 2004 American short horror film based on the urban legends in New Jersey and particularly the Jersey Devil myths. It was written and directed by James D. Rolfe who intended it to be a pilot episode for a Twilight Zone-style series based on the myths of New Jersey, he however was unable to make more episodes because of him getting caught up with the production of the The Angry Video Game Nerd web series, but has claim he still wants to make more episodes when he has the time. The short film was produced at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, where James went to college for filmmaking.
Synopsis
The film is about a portrait of a rebellious student named Jason (Dan Kelly) in his search for the unknown. It starts with him in class, giving a presentation on the existence of UFOs. The other students ridicule his ideas, and his teacher (John Phillips) rejects the presentation.Actors

In 1983, 2 million copies of the "worst video game of all time", Eee Tee for the Atari 2600 are dumped into a landfill outside Alamagordo, New Mexico . In the present day, game executive Mandi (Sarah Glendening) of Cockburn Industries, Inc. proposes to her bosses creating an intentionally badly made sequel, "Eee Tee 2". Thanks to the massive popularity and success of the Angry Video Game Nerd, the sales of poorly made video games has increased dramatically, and a review of Eee Tee 2 by the Nerd would cause his fans to buy the game and make profits for Cockburn.

The film starts with three poachers going into the woods to hunt. One of them sees what he thinks is a meteor land and goes to investigate. He finds a red glowing cave with a stash of large eggs. He decides to smash them, but is killed by an unseen entity before he can finish, which leaves one egg left intact. The mysterious being takes revenge for the destruction, first killing the other hunters and then going after members of a rock band led by Rick (Ian Sera), who are on a weekend camping trip. This band is accompanied by Laura, a girl who Rick met and told about the weekend's plans, not expecting her to want to come along. Sharon, a member of the band, is jealous of Laura, as she (Sharon) is Rick's girlfriend. Cathy and Tracy are also band members.

Paul Marnac (Paul Naschy) and his infirm wife Geneviève (Julia Saly) move to his childhood estate in the French countryside. Six girls have been found murdered in the apartment of famed Russian occultist, Karl Raymarseivich Raymar, and police cannot explain it. When Raymar's body was lifted onto a stretcher, bolts of electricity shot out from his fingers. Not even his estranged daughter Olivia McKenna (Melissa Newman) or her husband Allan (Adam West) knows what happened until they meet Samuel Dockstader (Donald Hotton), a feature writer for "The World of the Occult". Dockstader, once a friend to Raymar, explains that Raymar was a psychic vampire who gained great powers of telekinesis by kidnapping young girls, terrorizing them, and feeding off the bioenergy they produced. Allan does not believe him, but Dockstader shows Olivia a set of photographs to demonstrate how bioenergy works and gives her an audiotape that outlines his findings, which convinces Olivia to believe him.
