Synopsis
Joe is framed by gamblers who hope to fix the outcome of an upcoming boxing match. When Joe manages to clear his name, the gamblers frame the scrupulously honest boxer with murder. On the run from the law, Joe is forced to turn gumshoe and solve the murder himself--and he'd better hurry if he's going to get to the Big Fight on time.Actors

Bud Graziano said "Bomber" is a former heavyweight boxing champion who retired to private life on a ship. Jerry Calà is instead a Lombard punter who finds himself always in trouble and one day gets really big. In fact, he unwittingly sets himself against a group of thugs who answer only to the orders of a new boxing champion who is making the rounds in the area with his victories. Even Bomber collides later with this sample name Rosco. So Bomber, suddenly awakened his passion for boxing, opening a gym for amateurs and begins to train the promising young George. Below Bomber organizes meetings which also participates Rosco which, being too strong, knocks the young George. After so many other battles, Bomber is on the verge of losing everything he has slowly and painstakingly put together and so decides to confront himself in combat Rosco.

While on her way to a dancing job at a resort, Maisie Revere (Ann Sothern) is thrown off the train for not having enough money to pay the fare. She is given a ride to the resort by up-and-coming boxer Terry Dolan (Robert Sterling). Dolan's suspicious manager, "Skeets" Maguire (George Murphy), offends Maisie by telling her that he does not want her "sort" around his protege, despite Terry already having a girlfriend. The film focuses on a young Mexican-American named Tommy (Lalo Rios). resident in Los Angeles´s neighborhood. He feels unable to progress in American society, dominated by white Anglophones. Therefore, to achieve popularity, he decides to become a boxer, thus achieving fame and honor. But when he believes he has earned the respect of the "Anglos", he discovers that they are only interested in his reputation, because they still consider him an outsider because of their ancestry and skin colour. Harry Fabian (De Niro) is a fast-talking, two-bit New York lawyer who hangs out at a bar called Boxers, owned by Phil (Gorman) and his wife Helen (Lange). Willy Grogan is a small-time boxing promoter based in the Catskills resort region of Cream Valley, New York. He owns the Grogan's Gaelic Gardens inn.
