Junk (JUNK 死霊狩り, Junk Shiryōgari) is a Japanese Yakuza Zombie movie directed by Atsushi Muroga. Shot in 1999 and produced by Japan Home Video, it is essentially a remake of a Japanese mafia movie called "Score" also directed by Muroga, but this time with zombies getting in the way of being paid for the heist. The movie pays homage to Re-Animator, Reservoir Dogs (just as "Score" did), and the original Dawn of the Dead. It stars Kaori Shimamura, Yuji Kisimoto, Nobuyuki Asano, Tate Gouta, and Osamu Ebara. It is released in North America by Unearthed Films.
Synopsis
L'armée américaine procède dans une usine désaffectée à des recherches concernant la mort, et tente de mettre au point un vaccin permettant de faire revenir à la vie. À la suite d'une erreur, l'expérience tourne court et les morts-vivants prennent peu à peu la place, au sein de l'usine, des vivants... Dans cette même usine, une bande de malfrats a donné rendez-vous à des yakusas pour procéder à un échange de bijoux. À la suite d'une altercation, les deux clans vont se retrouver confrontés aux zombies.Actors

Three astronauts return to Earth after a nuclear holocaust, although one dies in a crash landing. The two survivors, Newman (Steve Barkett) and Matthews, encounter some mutants before discovering that Los Angeles has been completely destroyed. Seeking shelter, the men take refuge in an abandoned mansion. Newman later encounters a young boy, Chris, hiding in a museum with the curator (Forrest J Ackerman). In rural Texas, go-go dancer Cherry Darling (Rose McGowan) decides to quit her low-paying job and find another occupation. She runs into her mysterious ex-boyfriend El Wray (Freddy Rodriguez) at the Bone Shack, a BBQ restaurant owned by J.T. Hague (Jeff Fahey) and his sheriff brother (Michael Biehn). Meanwhile, a group of officials at a nearby US military base, led by the demented Lt. Muldoon (Bruce Willis), are making a business transaction with a chemical engineer named Abby (Naveen Andrews) for mass quantities of a deadly biochemical agent known as DC2 (codename "Project Terror"). When Muldoon learns that Abby has an extra supply on hand, he attempts to take Abby hostage, and Abby intentionally releases the gas into the air. The gas reaches the town and turns most of its residents into deformed bloodthirsty psychopaths, referred to as "sickos" by the surviving humans. Cannibalistic zombies have overrun the entire world. The remaining fragments of the U.S. government and military hide out in fortified military bases and colonies, attempting to find a solution to the zombie pandemic. "Doozakh-pur" (Hell's Ground) is a town that is notorious for crimes such as robberies and murders, and many lost commuters disappear without a trace. Some protesters are shown demonstrating against the act of polluting the drinking water. In the same scene, some villagers are seen gathering the same water for drinking purposes. Five college students, namely Vicky, Ayesha, Roxy, Simon, and O.J. are on their way to a concert. While in Hell's Ground they make a brief stop so O.J. could throw up near a river after eating spoiled Laddus. While he is vomiting he is bit in the leg by an unknown man. After crying for help and escaping his attacker he rendezvous with his group and they decide to move on. However, they haven't driven too far when they run into a crowd of zombies in the woods, who has turned into the undead presumably because of the contamination in their local water. The group narrowly manages to escape. Later, when the group feels lost, they are left with no choice but to seek help from the local natives living in the isolation of the Jungle. Upon exploration, a strange man dressed in a robe and representing the attire of that of a Fakir agrees to help them. However, after witnessing his strange and obnoxious behavior the group decides to force the man out of the car. When he barricades the car with his body, Vicky drives over him, crushing his body. Eventually the rented van is out of gas, and Vicky decides to get help from a nearby house. Little did he know that the house was being used as a trap to lure visitors so they could be killed and butchered into pieces by a strange character wearing a Burqa. From that point the plot unfolds to reveal the fate of each character.

Alice (Milla Jovovich) wakes up disoriented in a mansion. She wanders through the halls, where she defeats several obstacles, including a laser beam obstacle (from the first film) and a giant blade that falls from the ceiling. However, she is eventually killed by a miniature machine gun. Her body is dumped into a pit filled with hundreds of Alice clones. The camera zooms out to show a shack camouflaging the facility's above-ground entrance - with the rest of the facility located underground, surrounded by a high fence and thousands of zombies.

The film opens with a news report on "Natas", a strange drug which has been reported to induce zombie-like effects in those who consume it. The film then fast forwards in time, to an Earth mostly inhabited by zombies. The Hunter (Martin Copping) drives along a post-apocalyptic wasteland and meets a hostile "Death Angel". The zombie is reduced to purplish goo after Hunter rams his car at it. He proceeds to stop at a deserted petrol station to fill his car's empty gas tank. Hunter enters the station's convenience store to check out any available supplies, but is ambushed by invading zombies. He eliminates them all after a gory battle and downs his sorrows by gulping a bottle of tequila. It is revealed that Hunter's daughter and wife have both died. Resuming his journey, Hunter unknowingly ventures into the turf of the survivors, who have not been infected by Natas. Thinking Hunter is a zombie, an unknown assailant takes a shot at him. Hunter survives nevertheless and is greeted by survivor Fast Lane Debbie (Jade Regier) upon regaining consciousness.
