Omanakkuttan (Dileep) is twenty-two years old and too lazy to hold down a job, which angers his father (Thilakan). His life takes a turn when he goes for his friend Sudi's (Krishna Prasad) sister's marriage and he marries her (Malu); this angers his father, Govindan but he allows them to stay in his home. The protagonist of the film is an orphan who takes care of his sister. For an operation of his sister, he needs money. He joins with a known con artist and tries to make money. In one of their joint scams, they were caught red-handed, for not letting them to the handover to the police and for a substantial amount of money they are given a job. To make a wealthy businessman's daughter quit nunnery under the pretense of love. Accidentally the protagonist targets an other woman and makes her to come out of the nunnery. When that women's life is in danger from her step-brother, the protagonist and his companion's joins hands and rescue her and they both rekindle their love.
