Synopsis
Karan (Sanjay Kapoor) and Kajal (Juhi Chawla) are in love and ready to settle down and lead a happy life. But tragedy strikes as Karan's mother has a heart attack and before she dies, Karan discovers that she wasn't his real mother. He is told that his actual mother is an heiress, Gayatri Singh (Aruna Irani) who lives in Sundernagar. Karan sets out for Sundernagar to confront her and on reaching there, comes to know the tragic story of his mother's life. Her stepbrother, Ugranarayan Singh (Amrish Puri) had killed her husband and had her thrown in a mental asylum so that he can inherit all the wealth. Karan must now punish the people responsible for his mother's morbid state.Actors

Kajal (Divya Bharti) falls in love and marries a famous singer named Ravi (Rishi Kapoor). They live happily until tragedy strikes: Ravi's greedy uncle Pratap (Amrish Puri) and cousin Narender (Mohnish Behl), are determined to lay their hands on Ravi's wealth. Narender first tries to rape Kajal but fails when he is caught. Pratap then hires hoodlums to murder Ravi, who is thrown off a cliff along with Pratap's son, Narender.

Raju (Anil Kapoor) lives with his disabled mom (Farida Jalal). One day Raju on his way to a job interview saves the life of a rich textile mill owner (Anupam Kher) who offers him a job in his factory which is run by his ambitious daughter Sheetal (Sridevi). Sheetal's competitive attitude and open insults result in her making several enemies in the industry. Raju works as a mechanic in the mill and confronts Sheetal several times for the proper treatment of workers. He is also elected as the union leader. This action-packed movie is about an unflinching former soldier Karan (Sanjay Dutt) who has on the brain the revenge of the death of his upright father who allegedly dies in jail because of a lawyer Ravi Verma (Chandrachur Singh) and his crooked associates, i.e. his father-in-law Singhal (Raj Babbar) & his allies. In a shot of revenge, Karan one day fires at Ravi and his wife Kajal (Mahima Chaudhry) in which Kajal is killed and Ravi is mentally impaired as he loses his memory. As a medication to restore Ravi's memory, a Kajal's lookalike Kajri (Mahima Chaudhry, in a dual role) is engaged by Singhal to represent Kajal, with Ravi under Singhal's stronghold. But an obstinate Karan is ready for a war to the knife to kill Ravi. With the help of Kajri Ravi starts to get back his memory. Suddenly he starts to behave like a good guy and when he comes to know about Karan who is trying to kill him, he pacifies with Karan with the help of kajri and promises Karan that he will prove his father was innocent. Learning this Singhal and his allies try to kill Ravi, Kajri and Karan. In the final fight Karan wins over the baddies and his father is proved innocent.

Kajal (Karishma Kapoor) is the daughter of Prof. Sidhant Sharma (Alok Nath). U.S. based Anjali Thapar (Amrita Rao) has repeated dreams of a parallel life in India, the temple of Devi Maa Durga, & some sword-wielding men on horseback. Badal (Bobby Deol) is a young man with a tragic childhood.
