Synopsis
The film opens with the history of a village called Kshetram. An idol of Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy from the temple is hidden in a forest in order to save it from invaders. Generations of the Rayulu family have struggled to reinstate the idol in the temple but were unable to do so. After few generations, Veera Narasimha Rayalu (Jagapati Babu) a powerful village leader of same dynasty want to finish the ancient ritual, which is critical, to the well being of his village. Veera Narasimha Rayalu changes his name to Naga Penchalayya being the process of the ritual, but he has been killed by his own uncle (Kota Srinivasa Rao) and his cousin brother Viswanadha Rayulu (Adithya Menon) to conquer his position and property. The ritual remains incomplete So, his wife Lakshmi (Priyamani) decides to continue the process, changes herself as Naga Penchalamma to complete the ritual as her husband's last wish. Naga Penchalamma and her entire family also killed by same baddies. Before dying, she takes an oath that in any circumstances she will come back to succeed the machine. After 25 years Chakradeva Rayalu / Chakri (Kick Shyam) is the son of Viswanadha Rayulu falls in love with Sohini Agrawal (again Priyamani), who is eerily similar to Lakshmi. When Sohini comes into the ancestral house of Chakri, strange supernatural events happen and powerful spirits and athmas come into the picture. What happens to Sohini? Will the ritual be completed? Sasi (Jagapathi Babu), a professor of biology at Harvard University of the US, makes a comeback to his native place. He makes an attempt to settle in life for which he prompts a couple of alliances. But, they don't fit into his mindset. His friend Ravi (Sunil) brings out a logic that Sasi is still not able to forget his classmate Sailaja (Priyamani). Failing completely in wooing the modern Pravarakhyudu, Sailaja gives up the idea and go her way. Sasi realizes that Sailaja works as a principal in a women’s college and she is unmarried too. Afresh, Sasi enters a college as a lecturer in biology, in the principal. The rest of the story is all about how Sasi makes Sailaja fall in love with him again.

Krishna (Nandamuri Balakrishna) lives in Dubai while his family is in India. His grandmother is against him who settled in India. Krishna falls for Sneha (Sonal Chauhan) and comes to India to seek the blessings of his grandmother. Jitender (Jagapati Babu) is a man with pride and haughtiness. He cannot tolerate anyone who comes across his way. Once, he goes to a nearby village for a marriage proposal to him. There he gets involved in a quarrel with the village headman (Suman) due to some unfortunate events and gets jailed. From then onwards, he tries to take revenge on that family. He kills the family members of the village headman one-by-one. As soon as Krishna arrives in India, he gets involved in quarreling with the gang of Jitendra. When Krishna and his family members are traveling in a bus to visit a temple Jitender's hitmen shoot Krishna and his family members are beaten badly by his henchmen. Krishna's elder brother Jai Dev The Legend (Nandamuri Balakrishna) who remained exiled obeying his grandmother, saves them and Krishna is admitted in a hospital. Then the past is revealed that twenty years back there was a quarrel between Jai Dev and Jitender in which Jai Dev's cousin (Radhika Apte) whom he loved was killed by Jitender. At present, he comes to know that Jitender is going to become Chief Minister of the state.How he stops Jitender from claiming this throne forms the rest of the story.

An emotional tale, the story is about two childhood friends Balakrishna (Jagapathi Babu) and Ashok Kumar (Rajinikanth). Balu does not stop at anything to make his friend feel happy. The news spreads like wildfire and Balu know this but hesitates to show himself as a friend of Ashok Kumar. On the other hand, folks around get to know the friendship of Balu and Ashok Kumar and in this process those who have been ridiculing him start doing favors for him only with the intention of meeting Ashok Kumar or at least watching him from outside. But hesitant Balu is unable to do what they want and soon people start shunning him, even his own children start showing anger towards him.
