Kurt Cobain About a Son is a documentary about Kurt Cobain that debuted at the 2006 Toronto International Film Festival. It is directed by AJ Schnack. It was produced by Sidetrack Films. It features audio of interviews between Cobain and journalist Michael Azerrad done for the book Come as You Are: The Story of Nirvana, set over ambient cinematography of the places which Kurt Cobain called his home, mainly Aberdeen, Olympia, and Seattle. The film played at numerous film festivals, and was nominated for the 2007 Independent Spirit's Truer than Fiction Award. The DVD, which was released by Shout! Factory in February 2008, includes bonus interviews and commentary by Michael Azerrad and A.J. Schnack. Shout! Factory also put out the documentary's first Blu-ray edition on October 6, 2009.

Synopsis

Une méditation intime et émouvante sur le regretté musicien et artiste Kurt Cobain, basée sur plus de 25 heures d'entretiens audio inédits réalisés avec Cobain par le célèbre journaliste musical Michael Azerrad pour son livre «Come As You Are: The Story of Nirvana». Dans le film, Kurt Cobain raconte sa propre vie - de son enfance et de son adolescence à ses jours de découvertes musicales et plus tard aux prises avec une célébrité explosive - et offre souvent des aperçus perçants de sa vie, de sa musique et de son époque. Les conversations entendues dans le film n'ont jamais été rendues publiques auparavant et elles révèlent un portrait très personnel d'un artiste très discuté mais pas particulièrement bien compris.

The film follows the pop star Justin Bieber during 10 days counting down to what is considered his biggest performance, that of August 31, 2010 in Madison Square Garden, which sold out in 22 minutes. It shows footage of the performances during this period from his My World Tour. It shows excited female fans, and several instances of the "One Less Lonely Girl" routine of inviting a girl on stage for him to serenade and give flowers to, and of surprising random girls with free tickets to his concerts. The main people around Bieber, being like family and good friends to him, are interviewed, but Bieber himself is not. Various instances of praying together before a show are shown.
