La Revolución es un sueño eterno (Spanish: The revolution is an eternal dream) is a 2012 Argentine film, based on the eponymous book by Andrés Rivera. It is based on the life of Juan José Castelli, who led the May Revolution and the early steps of the Argentine War of Independence.
The main actor is Lito Cruz as Juan José Castelli. Other actors are Juan Palomino as Bernardo Monteagudo, Luis Machín as Manuel Belgrano, Adrián Navarro as Mariano Moreno and Edward Nulkievwicz as Agrelo.
It is a joint production of INCAA and San Luis Cine. Most of the movie was shot in the San Luis Province, including a stage similar to the 1810 Buenos Aires Cabildo, and the speech of Castelli to the natives of the Upper Peru was filmed at the Sierra de las Quijadas National Park. The scenes of the British invasions of the Río de la Plata were filmed in Luján.
It was filmed in 2007, and the filming took seven weeks.

A love affair between Thamarai (Kushboo) and her maternal uncle Nellaiyankondan (Jayaram) is badly received by their family, especially since he is not financially well off. Thamarai's father, King Periyamalaikozhundhu Gounder (Vijayakumar), arranges for her marriage to Mandhiyappan (Prakashraj), ruler of a neighbouring country. Thamarai rejects the arranged marriage, angering Mandhiyappan. She later marries her lover, who had come to see her marry Mandhiyappan, and challenges her brother Chinna Malaikozhundhu (Ponvannan) to marry his daughters off to her sons (the marriage of cousins is a gounder custom). Periyamalaikozhundhu disowns his daughter for choosing Nellaiyankondan and banishes them from his kingdom.

Le film raconte l’histoire d'Olga Benário Prestes (Camila Morgado). Née à Munich en Allemagne en 1908 de parents juifs. Olga devient une militante communiste. Après avoir libéré son amoureux Otto Braun de prison, ils sont forcés de fuir vers l’Union soviétique, pays dans lequel ils reçoivent un entraînement de guérilla. Olga se distingue très vite parmi les membres du Parti communiste de l'Union soviétique où elle connaît Luís Carlos Prestes (Caco Ciocler), qui deviendra l’un des principaux chefs communistes du Brésil. En 1934, quand Luís Carlos Prestes retourne au Brésil, désigné par l'Internacional Communista (le Mouvement communiste international) pour diriger une révolution armée, Olga est désignée pour l’escorter. Bien sûr, pour survivre, ils doivent se cacher et vivre en clandestins tout en s’organisant pour déstabiliser le gouvernement de Getúlio Vargas (Osmar Prado). Bhagat Singh was born in British India in 1907. As a child he witnessed numerous atrocities committed on fellow Indians by their British rulers, who came to trade under the guise of the East India Company, but ended up controlling most of the nation, and permitting tyrants such as General Reginald Dyer to massacre thousands of innocent men, women and children in Jallianwala Bagh. As a child he was impressed by Mahatma Gandhi, especially his call to launch the non-cooperation movement, which led to thousands of people burning British-made clothing, giving up school, college studies, and government jobs — only to be let down by Gandhi when he called off the movement. Undaunted, Bhagat Singh (Ajay Devgan) decided to be a revolutionary, starting with getting into petty fights, then as a grown-up joining the Hindustan Republic Association. His father, Kishan, paid Rs.60,000/- and bailed him out, so that he could get him to run a dairy-farm and get married to a girl named Mannavali (Amrita Rao) .
