It is a sequel to the 2010 film Lake Placid 3 and the fourth installment in the Lake Placid series. The film premiered on September 29, 2012 by Syfy and was released on DVD on February 19, 2013. As the title suggests, it was intended to be the final installment in the series. However, in 2015, it was followed by Lake Placid vs. Anaconda, which was released as a crossover film with the Anaconda franchise.
Synopsis
EPA Agent Reba, with Dennis and Sheriff Theresa Giove, venture Black Lake and neutralize an infant crocodile with a tranquizer. They meet Ryan Loffin on land and drive towards a ten-thousand volt fence operated by Ryan’s son, Max. Theresa assigns her daughter, Chloe to join the Marshfield High School Swim Team since she has a strict schedule to dwell with the crocodiles. A town hall meeting turns into a protest, speculating that the tour for the Swim Team could be too dangerous because of the crocodiles. A hunting team led by Jim Bickerman attempts to kill the crocodiles until one man is chased away and electrocuted to death by the electric fence.Actors

12 years after the TV series, Burt Gummer (Michael Gross) is now a star in his own series about survival, taking place in Perfection. He is approached by filmmaker Travis Welker, (Jamie Kennedy) who wants to help expand his brand, made famous by his series; he becomes Burt's new cameraman. Travis says he's from Florida, where Burt seems to have some history. Erick Van Wyk from the South African Wildlife Ministry asks them to deal with an Ass-Blaster problem. After Erick agrees to pay them for their services, Burt and Travis head to Africa to hunt down the creatures. Burt becomes friends with the pilot of their helicopter, Dan Bravers, who explains to him that a monster hunter and a monster have a strange attraction, reminding Burt of El Blanco. Burt is upset to find that South African gun laws have impounded the heavy weapons he was bringing. They arrive at the Cradlestone Reserve and meet Dreyer, who has tranquilizers to sedate and capture an Ass-Blaster. The crew of a plane gets nervous when the cargo it is carrying starts making noises and shifting. When one of the crew opens the crate, the pilot hears screams from the back. One year after the events of the second film at Black Lake, in Aroostook County, Maine, young couple April and Jason go skinny dipping and are attacked and eaten by a group of baby crocodiles. Meanwhile, at the house of the deceased Sadie Bickerman, her nephew Nathan, his wife Susan and their son Connor are cleaning out the house so they can sell it. However, Sheriff Tony Willinger soon arrives and convinces Nathan and Susan not to sell. A tugboat pulling a huge iceberg arrives at a port in Alexandria, Egypt, when suddenly, the iceberg shatters and releases a megalodon from suspended animation. In preparation for sending a manned rocket into space, American scientists Dr. Quent Brady and Dan Morgan are put in charge of a program that sends various animals and insects into space to test their survival rates. After one of their rockets carrying wasps malfunctions and goes off course, a computer calculates that the rocket is likely to land somewhere off the coast of Africa. Some time later, in a remote part of Africa, Dr. Lorentz and his daughter Lorna perform an autopsy on a native and determine that he died of paralysis of the nerve centers caused by an injection of a massive amount of venom. Arobi, Lorentz' African assistant, then informs him that a monster is believed to be terrorizing people and animals in an area known as Green Hell.

Paleontologist Robert Trenton (Dean Cain) is called to Northeastern Antarctica near the Indian Ocean to help the FBI build an underground maximum-security military base and prison for the world's most dangerous criminals and terrorists. The prison is dubbed "New Alcatraz" by the staff. While building the prison, the staff accidentally awaken and unleash a prehistoric Boa Constrictor from its 200 million year hibernation. The snake escapes unnoticed until the staff notice a massive hole chewed in the five-foot thick concrete walls. Soon, the staff, and prisoners begin disappearing as they are brutally hunted and eaten by the snake. The FBI agents, Trenton and the rest of the prisoners try to escape, but are hampered as they don't have many weapons. They begin to give up hope as most of the survivors die. However, Trenton manages to kill the snake by kicking it off the helicopter, which it had bitten into, and it is assumed the fall kills the snake.
