Let's Go Navy! is a 1951 comedy film starring The Bowery Boys. The film was released on July 29, 1951 by Monogram Pictures and is the twenty-third film in the series.
Synopsis
A local charity has raised sixteen hundred dollars and entrusted the boys with it. They are then robbed of the cash by two men dressed as sailors. Believing them to be real sailors, and in order to catch them, they enlist in the Navy under fake names. They spend a year at sea, but cannot locate the thieves. However, Sach is able to win two thousand dollars gambling and the boys return to the Bowery. It is there that they are robbed by the same two men, but with the Navy captain helping, they are able to capture the crooks. They return to the navy office to receive their commendations, but are mistakenly re-enlisted!Actors

The military is performing a practice air raid on New York City. Sach convinces the boys that it is real and they go down to the recruiter's office and enlist. Meanwhile, Slip arrives at Louie's and finds out what just happened and goes down there to stop them. He is too late, as they have already joined, and is tricked into enlisting himself.

After Slip is drafted into the Marines, the rest of the gang volunteers so they can be with him. Sach discovers that the colonel knew his father and he is promoted. During a drill that he is putting the rest of the gang through, they find a soldier left for dead on the side of the road. Slip discovers a playing card next to the marine and traces it to Jolly Joe Johnson's gambling house. They suspect that the gambling house is cheating and set out to uncover the proof. They enter the gambling house late at night, but are discovered by Jolly Joe and his gang. A fight ensues, but two Marine intelligence officers arrive in time to arrest the criminals. Sach, having been framed for having a girl in the barracks is stripped of his promotions, but a new colonel is now in charge and fought with a soldier named Mahoney. Slip claims that was his father and he is promoted and promptly gets even with Sach by taking him on a long drill.

After Slip discovers a spiritualist in the neighborhood, he enlists the boys to investigate. They discover that she is a fake and working for Margo the Medium, a radio star who has convinced Sach and Whitey that ghosts exist. They go to her place using Louie as a decoy. While she is busy trying to connect to Louie's dead uncle, the rest of the boys investigate the house. A real ghost, Edgar, befriends Sach and helps him investigate as well. Although the others cannot see Edgar, he does help them in times of crisis and helps them uncover Margo's scam.

Slip finds a book of matches with the name of a local nightclub on his boss' desk and finds out from Gabe that a gambling casino is being run out of it. Slip suggests that Louie take a vacation and hand over the responsibilities of the sweet shop to the boys. Louie reluctantly agrees and takes his wife to Coney Island. The boys decide to turn his sweet shop into an escort service and give the place a makeover. Meanwhile Gabe, who works as a messenger for a bank, has gotten himself into trouble. He had $5,000 of the bank's money stolen from him and local gangsters threaten to frame him for the theft unless he agrees to get the bank vault combination for them. He gives them the combination and the gangsters take over the sweet shop from Sach, who is minding it while Slip and the rest of the boys are out serving as escorts. Their goal is to dig from the sweet shop to the bank, and Sach allows them to after they convince him that they are government men looking for uranium. Eventually Slip, Louie, and the rest of the boys wind up back at the sweet shop and are pressed into service. Gabe goes to the police to tell the whole story, and as soon as he does, the gangsters dig through the police station floor (which is situated behind the bank) and are captured. Louie is temporarily pleased as Sach did find uranium under his store, but in the end it is discovered that he only owns the land.

Much to the despair of her husband John (Emmett Vogan), wealthy New York socialite Margaret Morgan (Betty Blythe) hires former criminals Masie O'Donnell (Patsy Moran) and Butch Grogan (Eddie Gribbon) to be her house servants. The East Side Kids are ejected from their clubhouse in a raid brought on by complaining neighbors, they have no place to train for an upcoming boxing tournament. The police commissioner is worried that his son Gilbert, who prefers ballet to boxing, is turning out to be a wimp, so he offers the gang a deal: he'll lay off them if they will take his son in their gang and toughen the boy up. Gang member Muggs McGinnis takes an instant dislike to Gilbert, and sets Gilbert up to get in a fight with Danny More, the gang's best boxer, but is impressed when he sees Gilbert use ballet moves to avoid getting hit, and instead knock out Danny. Later, the East Side Kids learn that Gilbert's girlfriend Rita has taken Gilbert to an illegal casino owned by local gangsters. The East Side Kids get to the casino just before cops raid the place. Muggs is able to sneak Gilbert out, but Danny is injured, and Muggs himself is caught, and is therefore barred from entering the boxing tournament. Gilbert agrees to participate in the tournament, and is in bad shape after the first two rounds. Muggs advises Gilbert to use his ballet moves, which enables Gilbert to win the match. Gilbert then confesses the truth about having been at the casino, and his police commissioner father clears Muggs of all charges.

The boys are trying to raise money for their friend Gloria. She has to give up her aspiring singing career in order to stay home and take care of her sick mother. Slip comes up with the idea to hypnotize Sach into thinking he is an unbeatable fighter so that they can enter him into a contest to win $2,500. Meanwhile, Gabe brokers a deal with a crooked nightclub owner to give Gloria the big break she has been waiting for. The nightclub owner then hires a ringer to fight Sach as well as his own hypnotist to counter Slip's control over Sach in order to collect a fortune from everyone who has bet on Sach.

All of the boys have just graduated from school where they learned exterminating, except for Sach who flunked out. They set up their new business in a corner of Louie's Sweet Shop and quickly get a job to remove ghosts from an old abandoned mansion. Upon arrival they discover weird events taking place, such as lights turning on when a match is lit, and a disappearing organ. Soon they discover that these events are not the actions of ghosts, but of a mad scientist who is conducting illegal experiments in the basement.
