Synopsis
Dragon (Max Mok), an ex-triad member, gets out jail and decides to go straight. He then finds a job as a waiter in a restaurant. However, his old triad member friend Rubbish Pool (Stephen Chow) usually hangs out there and his old boss Kent (Ng Man-tat) usually settles disputes with other gang leaders there so Dragon has a hard time getting pass his old ways. Later Dragon and Pool meet two bargirls Gigi (Ellen Chan) and June (Charine Chan). Dragon develops a relationship with Gigi.Actors

Joe (Max Mok) is a car fanatic and co-owns an auto repair shop. One time in an illegal street race, Joe collides with Lui (Jacky Cheung) and the two of them were arrested. Since then, Lui and Joe had become enemies. Lui's father (Wu Ma) is a seasoned police officer who goes by his principles and detains his own son, and thus, their relationship had grown very sour, and Lui also increases his hatred towards Joe.. On the other hand, Joe meets Ann (Loletta Lee) and falls in love her. However, Joe discovers that Ann is actually Lui's younger sister, and Lui tries to destroy their relationship. At first, Joe resisted Lui for the sake of Ann, but Lui becomes increasingly aggressive. Knowing that this all started because of her, Ann reluctantly breaks up with Joe. However, Joe refuses to step and negotiates with Lui to settle in a car race with a bet of HK$500,000. During the race, Lui dashes into the ocean. Lui's underling, Bull (Karel Wong), who thinks that Lui is dead, takes Ann hostage to threaten Joe in order to avenge his boss. Joe rushes to save Ann, but was no match for Bull. In this critical occasion, Lui returns with a full body of blood.

Restaurant waiter Sing (Stephen Chow) has always been obsessed with manhuas featuring triads and hoping to be part of them. One time, Sing rescues triad leader Wai Kit (Peter Yang), whom takes Sing under his wing. Sing also becomes good friends with Wai's underlings Chun (Wilson Lam) and Bill (Shing Fui-On). Following the death of a triad leader, there is conflict within the Hong Kong organised crime syndicate as various possible leaders vie for power. David Chiang attempts to bring the traitor in the midst of his own group to justice following a taped conversation of traitor admitting his crimes, but who cannot be found, while Danny Lee, the elected leader of the triad has his family attacked as he fights unknown enemies to bring the organisation back under control. Their actions are hindered by Chow Sing Chi who is attempting to build up anger between the two completing triads of Hong Kong. The film is brought to a bloody conclusion as the traitor leader of the group storms the triad safe house in a desperate attempt to gain control over the group, but is met by heavy resistance.

In Shanghai during the 1930s, Sing and his friend Bone attempt to join the Deadly Axe Gang which ruthlessly control the city under leadership of Brother Sum. Sing seeks to restore his confidence after being humiliated as a young boy while trying to protect a mute girl from bullies, due to the failure of the Buddhist Palm method he had learned from a pamphlet he bought from beggar. Sing and Bone attempt to intimidate the residents of Pig Sty Alley but are chased off by its Landlady. Hearing of this, Sum orders Sing and Bone captured, while sending the Gang to reassert its authority from the humiliation. Three of the tenants, Coolie, Fairy, and Donut, are revealed as martial arts masters and defeat more than fifty of the Gang. Fearing retribution, the Landlady evicts the three, but they meet a pair of hired assassins using a magical guqin to launch invisible blades. Coolie is beheaded, and Fairy and Donut are mortally wounded before the Landlady and her husband the Landlord reveal that they too are martial arts masters, having gone into self-exile after the death of their son. The two defeat the assassins but Fairy and Donut die from their wounds. The Landlords temporarily evacuate the other tenants for their safety.
