Derek made his debut for Men Suddenly in Black (2003), where he played a younger version of his father's character, along with Jaycee Chan and Nicholas Tse.

Derek Tsang was born to Eric Tsang and his wife on 8 November 1979 in Wuhua, Guangdong, China. His father originally wanted to become a soccer player just like his father Tsang Kai, who was Derek's grandfather. But, he ended up pursuing an acting career in 1977 and later moved to Hong Kong when Derek was still baby.Derek made his debut for Men Suddenly in Black (2003), where he played a younger version of his father's character, along with Jaycee Chan and Nicholas Tse.

Literature graduate Wyman Chan (Chapman To) writes erotic stories in the soft porn section of the newspaper for a living, but with the soft porn section ceasing publication, he loses his job.
