Mekhong Full Moon Party (Thai: 15 ค่ำ เดือน 11; RTGS: Sip Ha Kham Duean Sip Et; literally, "The 15th Day of the 11th Month") is a 2002 Thai comedy-drama about the Naga fireballs that arise from the Mekong at Nong Khai on the full moon in October. Written by Jira Maligool, the film was also Jira's directorial debut.
The film takes a semi-documentary approach to its subject, examining the phenonmenon and its accompanying festival, which draws thousands of people to Nong Khai each year, as well as providing a glimpse at Isan culture, Thai folklore and such practices as eating insects.
Synopsis
Khan, a Nong Khai native now attending university in Bangkok comes home for the annual Naga fireballs festival, just as a debate is raging over the cause of the fireballs. A local physician, Dr. Nortai, believes there is a scientific explanation for the phenomenon. A university professor, Dr. Suraphol, thinks the fireballs are manmade and are a hoax.Actors

Big (Andy Lau) was a Buddhist Monk, but he gave up this occupation when he realized he could see a person's past life, which would mean he would be able to predict what would happen to that person because of Karma. Big then became a bodybuilder and worked in a strip bar when he ran into Lee Fung-yee (Cecilia Cheung). Alors que la Coupe du monde de football 1998 est disputée en France, Palden et Nyima, deux jeunes tibétains ayant fui leur pays arrivent dans un monastère bouddhiste au nord de l'Inde. Ils y reçoivent leur ordination à la vie monastique, mais celle-ci va rapidement laisser place à la passion du football. Palden se retrouve entraîné par Orgyen, son camarade de chambre, à regarder la nuit le match des quarts de finale dans le village voisin. Sur le chemin du retour, ils sont pris sur le fait par le geko, le maître de discipline du monastère, qui les punit. Avec l’approche de la finale, Orgyen réussit, non sans peine, à autoriser la diffusion de la finale de la Coupe du Monde au monastère. Ne possédant cependant pas de télévision, une course contre la montre commence afin de récolter assez d’argent pour en louer une. Après de nombreux obstacles, les résidents du monastère réussissent finalement par regarder la finale France-Brésil tous ensemble.

For years, as pastor of an affluent, suburban Catholic parish, Father Tim Farley has maintained a close relationship with his congregation by delivering folksy homilies filled with practical advice and adhering to clerical policies without waver. The film begins with James' recitation of a Henry David Thoreau quote, after which he states that he saw the oncoming societal collapse and moved his free-spirited wife Lily and daughter Hannah off the grid. A montage shows his college friends just before the collapse: Benji, a radical activist, lectures at a college and has sex with Ariel, one of the students; Nick, James' former business partner, and his wife Becky are en route to James' house for a meeting; Laura, formerly a Senator's aide, is rejected from a job at a non-profit due to a past public scandal; and Lev, a computer hacker, prepares to commit suicide until he hears that a computer virus may be responsible for the collapse. All converge at James' remote Mendocino house, where Benji explains that violent riots have broken out across the nation.
