Synopsis
Murthy (Raja) weds Satyabhama (Shriya) after falling in love. Murthy is an NRI and Satyabhama is a village belle. During their first night, Satyabhama enters the room at 10 pm and tells him that muhurat is at 12 midnight. A first-time thief (Brahmanandam) enters the room without the knowledge of the couple. The story of the film is about how they spend those two hours.Actors

Arjun (Mahesh Babu) and his twin sister Meenakshi (Keerthi Reddy) finish college. During college days Meenakshi falls in love with her classmate, which she expresses later to her family when she is shown proposals from others. Arjun sets out to Madurai in Tamil Nadu where Uday is about to get married who also awaits for Meenakshi, to elope with. Arjun makes a dramatic appearance, with no apparent disapproval from the parents Meenakshi gets married to Uday. Meanwhile Arjun meets a girl, (Shriya Saran) who happens to be from Madurai too. After the marriage Uday's parents (Prakash Raj, Saritha) secretly plan to kill Meenakshi as they had lost a chance to grab a millionaire's property by the arranged marriage. How Arjun meets the plans to kill his sister and saves each time forms the crux of the story.

Madhu (Raja) hails from a poor family, but is a sports champion of the college. Besides, he is very good at studies. Swapna (Sneha) is the daughter of a millionaire Sarvabhouma Rao (Kota Srinivasa Rao). She is also good at studies and other extra-curricular activities. However, she is a down-to-earth girl and always wants to be very simple. She goes to the college in bus and doesn't want to use even a car. Sekhar (Chakravarthy) is their classmate. Sekhar loses his heart to Swapna. Ramya is also their classmate and is the best friend of Swapna. Once, Madhu saves a girl called Shanti when Swapna's brother (Raghubabu) tries to tease her. So, he bores grudge against Madhu. Though Sekhar loves Swapna, she gives her heart to Madhu and Sekhar silently moves away from them. When Madhu goes to Swapna's birthday party, he gets thrashed by her brother. So, Madhu decides to keep off from her for some time and goes to Hyderabad as he gets a job there. However, Madhu promises Swapna that he would marry her by convincing her parents and brother after some time. Ramya, who also stays in Hyderabad after her marriage, mistakes Madhu, as he moves close with Shanti, the daughter of the house owner.

The story starts with a man threatens peoples of Rajapulla Market. A man who is now working under Khan. In other side, a girl is raped by some people. Indu (Neha Oberoi) is very coward. But after meeting with Ghani she becomes brave and fights with the rapers of that girl. Indu and Ghani fall in love with each other. And Indu reveals about her family, her father (Suman) was an honest man. Some People killed her father and brother. This time it is revealed that Rajeshwari Devi is mother of Indu. Indu names Ghani as Balu. But Khan kills Indu. In Indu's death time Ghani promises her that he will take care of Indu's family. After that we come in present and saw Ghani in Hospital. After Ghani becomes well, Khan's henchemen found's him and a fight starts in Khan and Ghani. At last Ghani kills khan and reunites with Priya.

The film's plot revolves around Kanthaswamy (Vikram), who is an Income Tax officer in the CBI, and his friends, granting the wishes of the needy who write letters to a local Lord Muruga temple by disguising himself as an anthropomorphic rooster. During a CBI income tax raid, he discovers a stash of black money owned by Ponnusamy (Ashish Vidyarthi), a rich and corrupted entrepreneur. Ponnusamy pretends to be paralysed to escape the questioning. Angered by the news that her father is paralysed, Ponnusamy's daughter, Subbulakshmi (Shriya Saran) goes after Kanthaswamy to seek revenge by pretending to be in love with him. Kanthaswamy, knowing Subbulakshmi's real intentions plays along in the game. This forms a cat and mouse chase between the two. In a comical role, Thengakadai Thenappan (Vadivelu) is also sought after by a local police inspector who tries to solve the mystery of "Lord Muruga saving the people". The fate of Kanthaswamy's disguise leads into the climax of the story. The local police inspector was able to bring out the truth that a CBI is involved in the role behind the secret work of helping the needy people although he was not able to confirm it. Kanthaswamy finds the password of Subbulakshmi's family bank account, in which the black money is illegally saved. He tricks Subbulakshmi into revealing the password and answers for the security questions indirectly. Kanthaswamy finally transfers the money to his account which would be used for helping the poor and needy people. Ironically, in the end, Subbulakshmi's father was paralysed at the end knowing that the password which was used by him to access his black money was changed. After that Subbulakshmi and Kanthaswamy were married and were living in northern India. Kanthaswamy saw some letters tied to a tree, just like the ones at the Lord Muruga temple. He reads one and puts it into his pocket with a secret smile, which meant he will pursue being the anthropomorphic rooster again.
