En gagnant mon pain (titre original russe : В людях, Chez les gens) est un film soviétique réalisé par Marc Donskoï, sorti en 1939.
Synopsis
Aliocha commence à gagner son pain chez son oncle Serguéev qui tente de l'initier au dessin industriel mais sa tante et sa grand-tante l'ont pris comme souffre-douleur, l'accaparent sans cesse pour assurer les tâches ménagères et délibérément l'empêchent d'apprendre le métier. Heureusement il sympathise avec Natalia la blanchisseuse et fait aussi connaissance avec une voisine, une dame riche qui lui prête des livres qu'il va lire, la nuit, en cachette car on veut aussi l'empêcher de lire. Il confesse bien au pope sa passion pour la lecture mais celui-ci fait la sourde oreille. Il surprend aussi des gens qui tiennent des réunions mais il ne comprend pas s'il y a une relation entre ce phénomène et l'assassinat du tsar Alexandre II qui est annoncé par le glas en pleine nuit. Il finit par quitter cette maison infernale car à la suite d'une rixe entre deux jeunes, éméchés, on l'accuse d'avoir volé un porte monnaie. C'est l'occasion pour la patronne de lui flanquer une raclée et de le renvoyer bien que Natalia prouve qu'il n'y est pour rien.Actors

The German conquerors are above nothing, not even the slaughter of small children, to break the spirit of their Soviet captives. Suffering more than most is Olga (Nataliya Uzhviy), a Soviet partisan who returns to the village to bear her child, only to endure the cruelest of arbitrary tortures at the hands of the Nazis. Eventually, the villagers rise up against their oppressors-but unexpectedly do not wipe them out, electing instead to force the surviving Nazis to stand trial for their atrocities in a postwar "people's court." (It is also implied that those who collaborated with the Germans will be dealt with in the same evenhanded fashion).

A young provincial, Octave Mouret, arrives in Paris during the Second Empire. Madame Josserand, a society woman who thinks of little other than marrying off her daughter Berthe, sets her sights on him. But Octave has already turned his attention to the married Madame Hédouin, who runs a large department store, "Au Bonheur des Dames", where he is hired as a salesman. In October 1991, the commercial fishing boat Andrea Gail returns to port in Gloucester, Massachusetts, with a poor catch. Desperate for money, Captain Billy Tyne (Clooney), convinces the Andrea Gail crew to join him for one more late season fishing expedition. The crew heads out past their usual fishing grounds in the Grand Banks, leaving a developing thunderstorm behind them. Initially unsuccessful, they head to the Flemish Cap, where their luck improves. At the height of their fishing the ice machine breaks; the only way to sell their catch before it spoils is to hurry back to shore. After debating whether to sail through the building storm or to wait it out, the crew decides to risk the storm. However, between the Andrea Gail and Gloucester is a confluence of two powerful weather fronts and a hurricane, which the Andrea Gail crew underestimates.

Un matin de l'hiver 1940, Barrett, une jeune recrue, arrive à la caserne de l'Auxiliary Fire Service , la brigade d'incendie de Londres et est intégré dans une équipe de sept pompiers.
