It was produced by KS Sreenivasan's Vaasan Visual Ventures. The film's soundtrack and background score were composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar. Ravi played a revolutionist for a social cause. The film, which was simultaneously made in Telugu as Janda Pai Kapiraju with Nani in place of Jayam Ravi, released on 8 March 2014 and received mostly positive reviews.
Synopsis
Aravindan Sivasamy (Jayam Ravi) is a 26-year-old youth who was brought up in an ashram run by a Harichandra (Nassar). The atmosphere that he grew, taught him high moral values, disciplines, dignity, devotion etc. But when he comes out of the place, his belief and learning will be questioned by the cancerous system. It unsettles him and make him fight against the immoral cultures of the society. He decides to taken on corrupt bureaucrats and his friend (Soori), a lawyer (Subbu Panchu) and journalist (C. Gopinath) along with his girlfriend (Amala Paul) join him in his mission to fight against the corruption.Actors

Arvind who came to the city from a rural area, is a naive employee in a company. He cannot tolerate corruption, bribert, breaking rules, lavishness and the urban culture of youth in cities. He is caught by traffic police for a minor mistake through not of his own. Although he has all documents with him, he is asked a bribe by traffic policeman. When he refuses to pay the bribe, a complaint is booked against him and he is sentenced by the court, even though he complains about the bribe.

Naattamai (Sarathkumar) is a very kind-hearted, disciplined man. He sits on the ancestral throne in his village to do justice (similar to panchayat). He hears all the cases and gives solutions and punishments to the wrong-doers. His wife, Khushboo admires and respects him a lot. His brothers Pasupathi (sarathkumar) and Raja Ravindra fear for him and also have a lot of respect for him as he has brought them up as his children. The young Sarathkumar marries Meena, daughter of an industrialist. She at first never liked Naatamai and her husband for being so timid before his brother but later transforms after knowing his greatness from her father.Raja Ravindra loves his paternal cousin(Ponnambalam)'s daughter (Sanghavi). In the flashback, Periya Naatamai(Vijayakumar) father of naatamai orders Ponnambalam to marry his servant's daughter whom he raped, though he is his sister's son. His brother-in-law shoots at him as he is disappointed by his verdict.Enraged Periya Naatamai gives his final verdict before dying to abandon their family and whoever visits his house will receive the same punishment and also not to share even a glass of water with them. Ponnambalam from then builds envy on his uncle's family and waits for an opportunity to take revenge on them. He plans to bring a lady (Subhashri) as a teacher to the school in the village and tells her to make young Sarathkumar fall for her. She does so to save her father who is in the hands of Ponnambalam. He kills her and makes the villagers believe that Sarathkumar has done this. Naatamai sentences 10 years of exile for his brother's family. Now Ponnambalam comes to know of his daughter's love and tries to kill Raja Ravindra with the help of his goons. Sarathkumar goes in rescue of him and pregnant Meena goes to Naatamai to convey this message. Manorama rushes to Nattamai and reveals the truth and tells that he punished his brother without committing any mistake. Naatamai takes revenge on Ponnambalam and dies on knowing that he gave a wrong verdict. Now younger Sarathkumar is shown taking the ancestral throne from his brother.

The film begins in a city in Andhra, where the CBI raid a rich local politician's house. The Chief Officer is shown to be Jayam Ravi, who orders to seize all illegal items found. The politician is arrested, but he requests to come to the CBI office in his own car. It is later revealed that, no CBI raid was planned on his house and all that happened was a hoax. The politician gets angry and orders to hunt down the men who cheated him in the name of CBI. Aadhi (Jayam Ravi) is a gangster, specialised in drug and arms dealing. The hoax CBI raid was one of his mission to loot the politicians. Aadhi is living alone, as his mom and sister are angry with him for being a gangster. As it goes, Aadhi meets Karishma, (Neetu Chandra), a beautiful hotel waitress, who often gets humiliated by her boss. Aadhi falls for her, and saves her and takes her home to be with him. During a drug deal, Aadhi is being attacked and he is shot. Karishma saves him, treats his wounds and saves his life. Aadhi plans to leave to Mumbai, where he gets attacked in the airport, and it is revealed that Karishma is a part of the criminal gang that was trying to kill Aadhi. Then Aadhi is taken Hostage, where another victim reveals the true story about Karishma. Her name is not Karishma at all, but she is Rani, the right hand and partner in crime of a very powerful, cruel, ruthless criminal named Bhagavan Alias Mumbai Bhagavan (Jayam Ravi) who looks exactly like Aadhi. Bhagavan is a very feminine charactered guy, who loves to wear make up and walk, talk and do everything like a girl. But he still has a weakness for good looking girls. Bhagavan does so many jobs for his customers, such as include murder, robbery, and kidnap . At one such instance, Bhagavan gets angry by the behavior of a politician's cousin and murders him. The politician gets angry and promises to get Bhagavan murdered. As the politician is much more powerful than Bhagavan, he goes into hiding. But the Politician makes the search very intense and is very keen to find Bhagavan. So Arumugam comes to know about Aadhi, who resembles Bhagavan. So she traps him and makes him fall into her plan, so that he can be substituted as Bhagavan, on whom the politician wants to take revenge. In the climax, Aadhi kills Karishma and Bhagavan brutally. The film ends with Aadhi leaving the place while Bhagavan also moves away from the place which indicates that Bhagavan is alive and film also hints for sequel.

In 1920s Chicago, Italian immigrant Antonio "Tony" Camonte (Paul Muni) acts on the orders of Italian mafioso John "Johnny" Lovo (Osgood Perkins) and kills "Big" Louis Costillo (Harry J. Vejar), the leading crime boss of the city's South Side. In Salt Lake City, Alex Corvis (Eric Mabius) is a death row convict framed for the murder of his girlfriend Lauren Randall (Jodi Lyn O'Keefe). Three years later, he is sentenced to death in the electric chair. When he is asked for his last words, he says he still loves Lauren and that he is innocent. However, the guards ignore his plea to live, and the switch is pulled. The generator is struck by lightning during the electrocution, overriding the electricity, and Alex suffers a painful, excruciating death. Soon after the execution, Alex is resurrected by a mystical crow and gifted with supernatural abilities, so he can clear his name and avenge Lauren's death. Alex follows the crow to the Salt Lake City police department's evidence room, where he discovers that Lauren was killed by a group of corrupt cops. Alex has a vision of one of the killers, who has a scar on his arm matching one he saw just before his execution. Alex finds the knife that was used on Lauren, and then goes to her grave. There, he meets with Lauren's sister Erin (Kirsten Dunst), who believes he is guilty. He tells her that he will prove his innocence, and disappears.
